## Overview

The H220-X CPU Cooler is a high-performance liquid cooling solution designed for easy installation and maintenance-free operation. Featuring a powerful MCP30 pump and PWM compliant Helix fans, it ensures optimal cooling while allowing for customization and expansion to support additional components.

## Description

The patent pending H220-X liquid cooling system is Swiftech's next generation all-in-one CPU cooler featuring a dual 120mm copper radiator, and enthusiast grade pump and waterblock. As in previous Swiftech offerings, the product remains entirely focused on low to inaudible operating noise with extreme thermal performance, and it is engineered to appeal to the broadest possible spectrum of performance oriented users:

## Features

- The kit is shipped factory pre-filled, ready for plug-and-play installation, and it is maintenance free during its warranty period.
- Both Swiftech's powerful MCP30 pump and high-pressure Helix fans are PWM compliant devices,
- As a bonus, the system also includes our PWM splitter allowing connection of up to 8 PWM devices which can then be controlled as one by the motherboard.
- The system can be entirely customized thanks to easily replaceable tubing and fittings.
- Thanks to its powerful pump it can support additional liquid cooled components such as graphics cards and/or additional radiator(s).

Excellent start to a custom water loop. Quiet but not silent

Overall a great cpu cooler with a few minor flaws. I'll start with the weaknesses of this kit before moving on to the positives. My first issue is that the tubing is on the short side, which basically limits you to mounting this to the top of your case unless you have a small case. The tubes are about 10" long FYI. I have a fractal r4 and was really hoping I could mount this in the front so that I could keep the sound dampening pads on the top of my case (I am a silence freak). Unfortunately due to the short tubes I was unable to do this, so this ended up sounding louder than my cooler Master hyper 212+, although I think the h220x is actually quiet. Issue #2 is that the mounting for the water block is VERY difficult without someone to help you. Now on to the positives.First, it needs to be said that this is not just a cpu cooler, but is actually the start of your own custom liquid cooling setup because you can add to it unlike other cpu water coolers. In fact, you can buy all of the components of this separately to build your own, but is would cost over $220 to do so.Secondly, the h220x is rather quiet at idle, and keeps my cpu at 33C without ramping up much at all (oc 8320 at 4.3ghz) while stress testing. All in all, I would recommend this over any other cpu water cooler, but if you want absolute silence, stick with a high end air cooler like noctura.

Update after 6 months of use - Pump Died

*by E***F on Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2015*

This product is outstanding ... I'm using it on a Intel Haswell e 5930K X99 build. I looked at all the usual suspects in the CPU AIO world but was always a little bothered by what I perceived to be the "designed for maximum profit margin" approach. To be fair, I have no direct experience with other coolers and while they might perform just fine I would always be wondering if I could/should have raised the bar. After exhaustive research I discovered that there is another whole group of CPU cooling companies out there with build quality that is far more robust that the mass produced items. The biggest surprise is this step change in build quality is not that much more expensive. The following are the features that differentiated this product for me;1) First and foremost the radiator is copper - this was by far the biggest point for me. Copper's thermal conductivity is TWICE that of aluminum (aluminum =205 vs copper=401 measured in SI units ).2) Unit can be disassembled and expanded. The pump is far more robust that other brands.3) In use the system is dead silent.4) The CPU block design is excellent.5) The mounting hardware (CPU block) is so easy to use you almost can't believe it.6) Comes with PWM block for fan control.Update - after 6 months the pump died. Replaced Swiftech H220 X with NZXT X61 which has been working perfectly ... but only for 1 month so far. I'll comment again in another 6 months. I'll also comment on my Swiftech warranty experience (claim filed today) . This is really too bad for a couple of reasons. I was going to expand the H220 X to include GPU cooling. It's ironic that this expansion capability is advertised as possible due to the robust pump. Very unfortunate.

Get it.....you know you want too.

*by N***6 on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2015*

Super easy to install and fits my tiny case( Fractal Node804). Is a lot quieter than my corsair cooler as well.A couple of things though that annoy me.1. Mine came with some gunk in the reservoir window No biggie as i plan on changing it anyway.2. The housing is brown, not really black. though you cant tell until you get it next to your black case in direct light. But all in all a great product thus far. I have added another radiator (alphacool Nexxos) and a GPU (r9 290 with a xspc Razor) and plan on adding a second. I'm sure this baby can handle it.Side note: If you are wondering how to get away with no pump output adapter. Just use 3/8ID 5/8OD tubing. It fits the old barbs perfectly.
