Functions perfectly for my drill press. Will work as a press also.

Great vice worth buying again. Great quality made well and easy to use A+. Now the bad part. The box was falling apart. Vice shipped in a box but Amazon put it in a plastic bag and it was not even sealed all the way. This vice was shipped from one of Amazons warehouses. It would of been much better if they could of put it in a box. Please watch quality control!

I’m an old fart and remember American quality in the old days (my drill press is an 85 year old 17 inch Delta ) and am very cautious and critical when it comes to casting and machining quality these days with wham bam and out the door production practices. This vise is not one of those items-if it fits you needs BUY IT! It’s milling and casting is excellent, movement is smooth and built in India-great job guys.

Well machined and has a great quality paint finish on the vise. The quality of the part has made me interested to see what other offerings GROZ has. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Usually, machine tools and accessories made in India are primitive garbage. Not this Groz. Wow, very impressive! It works great! It's very well finished too. I put it on my granite surface plate and measured better than 0.001" parallelism between the bottom surface of the vise and the sliding surface on top. It's very flat! This vise is very well worth having. It's plenty good enough for a drill press.

I find it perfect. Heavy, accurate, nice finish. Amazing value.

This vise is well machined for the price point. This precision affords ease of use when clamping wood or metal parts. The bolt ears are machined parallel to the base which eliminates the vise from shifting when bolting into position on a drill press bed. I especially like the jaw lead screw being covered and protected from debris. I can usually close and tighten the jaws by hand without a lever pin- this attests to the quality of machining of the lead screw. Very good value for the price.

It is bigger than it seems. 4 inch jaws, but more meat around the vise so it can be clamped in three positions. The base is as big as the table of my drill press. Holes/slots do not align. not with my old tool stand base either. Other ways to clamp though, and just used un-clamped it is very useful.It is well made and very well designed, and so very useful. I avoided other versions that may be cheaper knock offs.The vise needed factory gunk removed. Spray oil did the trick. Works perfectly now. The screw adjustment was not smooth so I cleaned the threads more carefully, then I fed a small amount of Molly powder into the threads as they moved into the adjustment handle. Perfect smooth now.

Nice little vise. Tolerances are quite good for the price you pay. Deflection of jaws from left to right is less then 1/32 which for a hobbyist is perfect. It has a nice finish without any sharp edges. Good value for the money.
