The black insole stain from foot is dirt,oil,sweat.becomes black and sticky. This stuff if used with the brush in kit, will make them clean, fresh smelling and look new again. It's a great product. I have not used it for the leather, but as a product endorsed by Birki should be OK. I use regular shoe products suitable for each type of leather on my sandals and clogs and they feed the leather really well. Mine look great after about 20 years of regular care. No more toe marks 😊 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does a good job *by J***Y on August 20, 2021* The product arrived quickly. There were no paper instructions, but there were directions on the sides of the bottles. I didn’t like the way the products smelled but that is just something I noticed. As you can see by the pictures, there cleaner did a good job of cleaning the footbed. I used the brush to scrub the footbed with the cleaner then wiped out with a clean cloth. The cork spray made the sides nice and shiny. I have applied the water and stain repellent but haven’t tested it out yet. I will say that the bottoms of the white straps that had red mud on them did not come out with the cleaner. I had to use a Mr. Clean magic eraser.
