Theater for Church: 24 Quality Sketches for Adult and Youth Drama Teams, Vol. 1

This book is very exciting! I thought drama was only possible in a very large church, but several of these would be effective in a very small church, too. I'm looking forward to trying some of these!Basically it's a book of short dramas that can support the church ministry. They can be connected to the theme the preacher is going to present. My church has never gone beyond the Christmas Play and sometimes skits to promote VBS. This book showed me how skits can be used to expand on or illustrate the spiritual principles being taught. This was a new concept for me and I see it as a wonderful way to get more involvement from the young people and even the not-so-young.

Thank you for writing and publishing a wonderful selection of quality church sketches. After serving in youth ministry for many years, I know how difficult it is to find options that inspire thoughtfulness while also providing entertainment. Each sketch is simple in production and clear in message. This book can help your drama team find success in its presentation, while also providing an opportunity to disciple participants and audience members alike. I highly recommend this book.

This is a well organized and easy to implement collection of short sketches for youth and adults. I expecially like the way the point of the sketch and Biblical references are clearly stated at the beginning of each sketch. Unless the sketch has a relavent application to the message it is just entertainment. These sketches are fresh and contemporary and they will impact the audience with their thought provoking scenarios.
