Loom Magic!: 25 Awesome, Never-Before-Seen Designs for an Amazing Rainbow of Projects Kindle Edition

As a beginning (adult!) loomer, I found this book a terrific guide for some basic and more complex patterns for the Rainbow loom. The color photos go along with the easy-to-follow instructions. The book includes a lot of easy, fun patterns for kids, like shoe-lace charms, rings, a cell phone case, and colorful bracelets.

My kids were SO EXCITED this book arrived this week, and they immediately made mustaches! My kids (a boy and a girl) have made a lot of the projects already. I don't think it's a big deal that some of them require multiple looms, because Rainbow Looms are designed to fit together, and my kids' friends bring their looms over and they make the projects together. At least half of the projects only take one loom, but I've found my kids even working together with theirs. My kids think it's so cool that they can make things besides bracelets – especially the boys! My son loves the slingshot! This is a great book for any kid who loves looming, and my kids have already said they want to give one to their cousins too.

The patterns in this book are different from the "standards" like fishtail and the basic pattern. The triple is used for the watchband but any pattern could be used for that purpose, depending on the width of the watch face itself.The patterns do not use the "cap band" and that makes the ends of the items look a bit sloppy. If the "loomer" knowns about them, that's an easy swap. Other than that, the patterns are fairly easy to follow and use.The one drawback is the number of patterns that need multiple looms. The most I've seen is 4! It's not noted in the description or on the cover. It's only as you get into it that you see that. Most users of this craft don't have that many looms! There should be some special instructions on how to modify the pattern to allow the item to be done using a single loom.

I bought this book to do some work on my rainbow loom and I thought that it could be better, but it could be worse, too. What I liked about the book is that it had a lot of projects to do. What I didn't like was that it wasn't descriptive enough. I tried to make a pencil topper, but was confused by the lack of straightforwardness in the instructions.

I can't think of a better holiday gift for a child, destined to spend too much time in doors in the cold winter months! I bought three for gifts and might actually need a couple more! One comment mentioned that multiple looms were needed for some projects, I don't see this as an issue because every child in our town seems to have one or two looms already. Have a play date, and let your child create something with their friends. Great book, and I have to say I just love the photo of that adorable little boy with the Movember Mustache!

Great birthday gift for a girl

We purchased this book for my 8 years old daughter. It was her first book on the subject and we believed the images were nice and very appealing to make. However, when we got it we had no clue how to make them by reading the instructions. So we looked at the rainbow loom web page and saw the videos that are really helpful. I thought maybe with some practice on the basics we could get back to the book. My daughter has made already about 9 different designs from the web page and we still can’t make any from the book. I have tried myself without success. The instructions for the mustache are very clear from step 1 to 19, but the final step is summarized in just one image that we cannot clearly see the details. It was useless. We tried twice and gave up after 2 hours of trying. Not fair for a girl that wants to do creative things, while on the videos you can follow and have a final very nice item in less than 30 minutes. I cannot send it back because I live in Mexico and to do so will cost me more than purchasing a new one. Not worth it.

I picked a perfect rating because these projects are fun and easy to learn how to create. This is a must read for loomers.

not so incredible but as I am a very experienced loomer, I didn't find it so useful.

This arrived in no time and was packaged nicely. Book was much better quality then I expected so I am very very pleased and it is easy to follow. Highly recommend!

un livre en anglais donc pas accessible à tousà quand la traduction française ?il faudrait le proposer avec un métier à tisser et pourquoi pas quelques élastiques

...anche se i lavori sono simpatici è necessario avere minimo 2 telai per eseguirli. Per i più belli addirittura 4. Considerato che qui in Italia di trovano praticamente solo su amazon e solo in kit completo, è abbastanza inutile. PeccatoDifficile da seguire per un bambino.
