Acme MadeSkinny Sleeve for iPad -Gloss Black

I wanted the simplest, thinnest cover possible. I should mention that I use this in addition to a full folio cover, not in place of it. I wanted something additional to protect against bumps and scratches in my briefcase and frequent trips through airport security. To fit over another cover it's a little tight, but it will stretch. On the negative side, it does pick up fingerprints, and scuffs a little bit more than another Acme Made cover I have in matte black. To the people who complained about the length: it's this way to protect the edge without having a closure. If you are very careful, you can trim neoprene with an exacto knife against a cutting board.

The Acme Made Skinny Sleeve for iPad is a simple, elegant solution for protecting your iPad as you bounce around town with it. Free of all bells and whistles, it's simply a shiny black (mine is black, anyway) padded sleeve that's sealed on three sides and open on one. There's also a little extra padding and stiffness on the inside surface that rests against the iPad's screen, providing extra protection.Though I tend to prefer sleeves with a zipper, so I can completely enclose my devices for added protection, the iPad sits very snugly inside the Skinny Sleeve, so there's little chance of it ever slipping out (though it may shift a little). Also, the open end of the Skinny Sleeve sits a good inch or so above the edge of the iPad closest to it, so even that edge of your device is decently protected.The one thing I'm not crazy about is that you have to grip the iPad between thumb and forefinger pretty tightly to pull it out of the sleeve. This probably won't damage the iPad, but after months of repeated removals, can one be sure? Also, for such a basic, simple product, the Skinny Sleeve does seem a little pricey. But then again, I think most of the cases and sleeves out there for the Kindle, iPad, and similar devices are pricey for what you get. And, yes, as others have noted, this sleeve picks up fingerprints pretty easily. But, then, so does the iPad itself, so what's one more thing to have to occasionally wipe clean?In the end, this is just a matter of preference. There are no screaming flaws in this product, only attributes that some will like and some won't. Myself, I'll probably use this from time to time, though I'll likely remain a zippered case kind of guy for the lion's share of my iPad tote-around time.

I have owned several acme made products previously plus I've bought larger totes from my wife and mother inlaw. the quality from acme made is usually first class... the skinny sleeve for iPad is just sad. the have put a piece of plastic in one side of the lining for rigidity i suppose. but then the don't completely sew it in. the is a gap where you can see the plastic, however, the gap is not large enough to pull the plastic it out. I also don't think the material offers any durability.

Very, very pleased with the seller SolidFuel as well as the item. Very glossy, thin little cover for my iPad Air & ultra thin logitech keyboard. Fits perfectly without adding bulk & snug enough without me worrying about it coming out when I travel. I didn't expect this sleeve to be as nice as it was actually... Thought it was just going to be super thin neoprene wetsuit type, but was pleasantly surprised to see the seams were tight, the lining was super soft & a little added semi hard insert for more screen protection.While it fits perfect with the keyboard I can't say an iPad Air by itself would be snug. It's very roomy without the keyboard. Also, expect fingerprints, remember it's glossy. But for the price who cares! Definitely recommend.

I have been using my iPad without any case or sleeve and now the result ispainful - Now, there are many scratches on the back of my iPad. The iPaddefinitely needs some kind of protection, whether it be a body case orcarrying sleeve such as this one.This sleeve fits well even though it's slightly longer than the actual iPad.I think that's beneficial for a extra protection. I also noticed that theiPad slides out of the sleeve when I carry it in a tote bag. However, havingthat extra inch or so of space prevents scratches when sliding. I know itshould not slide out at all at first hand, but without any silicon orplastic case on the iPad, it will happen on any sleeve I use. It would bemore advantageous if there's some sort of locking system, such as Velcro orzipper in the opening to prevent the iPad from sliding out.There is also a plastic-like padding inside the cloth material on one side,and I think it adds more protection on my ipad screen.The design is very slick and shiny, and it sometimes collects finger printsand dust, but I can wipe off easily. I did not like how shiny it was atfirst, but now I like it because it looks fancy. It goes well with theiPad's slick design. The pouch's stitching and overall quality is very goodas well. I suppose for protection, the product is useful, but I still feelthere should be better designed sleeves for the iPad.

This is not a skin for the iPad, but rather, something in which to store it. If you have a silicone skin, it's a little harder to get in and out, since the fit is snug, though since there is no way to close off the opening, it has to be so the iPad won't slip out on its own. The harder part of the case (made to protect the screen) is a little harder, but if dropped from higher up, it might not quite save the device...but neither would a soft laptop cover, necessarily, which is why I say it is comparable to that product.It is, as other raters have said, very glossy, but that doesn't particularly bother me. It looks like patent leather shoe material, so expect that if you buy it.All in all, it's ok.

I love Acme cases and this one is no exception; it is simply gorgeous. I use my iPad Air 2 with a Logitech hinge case and it fits very securely without being to tight.

Do not buy cheap looking and a stiff plastic plastic case. Would send back but the return post cost almost as much as the case
