Swing, Swing, Swing!

There is nothing to hate or query about this record. It is a fantastic record of the classics of traditional Jazz Performed by the artists of their day.This type of record should be made for the varied styles of popular music of the industry’s history.Well worth the money. I just hope I don’t wear it out.

You get what's on the label. The Benny Goodman Orchestra. Top class big band swing, set for dancing on most tracks but what is lacking is the quartet or sextet classics. Moonglow is so much more suited to the the quartet and his " 48 finest " without Memories of You and Avalon, is a bit of a misnomer. Nevertheless, the full Carnegie Hall version of Sing,Sing,Sing alone, is worth the money and the early Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald tracks add to what is a fine collection from the King of Swing.

The clarinet is not my favourite instrument. But, when played by a very skillfull musician, it's great. Benny Goodman, well, he's is good! And the music is very nice. Especially the second disk.

A definitive collection by the man who took swing music mainstream, with the hottest band anybody had heard before. A must for lovers of swing music, and a perfect collection for any person who believes that swing is the slow music of the 1950's and does not know it's hot swing roots.

Don't have any issues with this good recoding but not what I was really after

This is a bargain. I picked it up used for under ten dollars with shipping included. Six live cds, even some rock in blues numbers. Highly recommended.
