Excellent versatile base soup
I really enjoyed this soup. There are so many ways to make it, but I tried the traditional Norwegian style of topping it with butter and cinnamon. So good! Also, I used plant-based sour cream (made of cashews) and oat milk instead of regular sour cream/milk, and it turned out sooooo delicious and felt a bit more nutritious. You can stir in cheese at the last minute (similar to cheese grits) or add other seasonings, meat, and/or veggies to it. It has some cream of wheat in it so you have to stir it very constantly as it's cooking so that there aren't lumps. I found that during the cooking process large lumps did form, but they disappeared as I stirred constantly. I ended up with a smooth, comforting, delicious soup, and the portion was very large so I stored it in the fridge and reheated the leftovers in the microwave and it was just as delicious!! Really recommend this.

Yummy yummy yummy
Yummy stuff, very expensive on Amazon but I was desperate! This is the instant kind and much quicker than making it from scratch

One of my favorite things 😊
I was introduced to this about 27 years ago from a foreign exchange student from Norway! I loved it then and I love it now. A little butter and sugar on the top and it's the best stuff ever! Great Breakfast, lunch or dinner.
