3/8" X 1220' Sisal Rope

I have been rewrapping cat towers / poles / scratch posts for a while now. I have used everything from the cheap 5 dollar stuff at walmart to the higher end T.W Evans Cordage sisal. This is high quality sisal rope and the fact you can buy it in 1220 foot roll is a huge selling point. It takes about 48-49 feet of rope to tightly wrap an 18 inch pole which is the typical size. So, you always have rope left over that you can’t use unless you want to spot tie it. With a roll this big you don't have to worry about left over sisal.It’s easy to redo cat trees so save yourself hundreds of dollars and just rewrap every 12-16 months I rotate them as well. Yes this is the right stuff, never purchase another cat scratcher again (unless the base breaks) I have 4 ragdolls and they've destroyed a couple of posts and taken the rope off of others - after a while they cats get the best of them; so this was an affordable alternative if you have the room for storage. Please leave it in the box or you'll end up with an unraveling mess.

Our animal rescue cattery suffered damage from a flash storm. Cat trees, already well used suffered water damage. Rather than replace the carpet on vertical supports, I decided to use sisal rope for a longer lasting upgrade.Wrapping this rope around a regular 4x4 or 2x4 is very hard, the rope leaves slack going around the 90 degree corners. I used a router to put a half inch, 1/4 round corner on all corners. Now the rope wraps much tighter.Wear leather gloves as the sisal fibers will eat into your hands. Had to use a short section of 2x4 to continually tamp down the wrappings, keeping them tightly together.Finished product looks really good, durable, ready for the cats to start using it. I'm looking at buying another box as I found out more trees were damaged. This was the best deal I could find anywhere. Matched with free shipping, very hard to beat.

Just what I was looking for. Buying sisal rope at home improvement stores, 50 feet at a time, was getting too expensive.Buying bulk is much more cost effective. This product is great and the price is pretty good. I will be purchasing more in the future. Thank you.
