I recently built a large station for a new Bosch Glide miter saw -- the station's base has two cabinets each incorporating 4 large drawers on full-extension slides. The saw provides quite a bit of vibration which was causing the drawers to drift open. Because of the ever-present sawdust, I didn't want to use any kind of mechanical drawer latches. These magnetic catches are small, very straightforward to install, and provide a surprising amount of holding force. I used the included screws to fasten them in place them rather than relying on the adhesive pads. Installing these isn't rocket science, but it does require at least a modicum of basic hand and tool skills. My cabinets and drawer fronts are all made of 3/4" cabinet-grade plywood. I located the magnet and striker plates by eye, traced out the mounting holes, and then drilled 1/16" pilot holes for the screws. The screws went in smoothly and hold tightly, the magnets engage with the matching plates with a pleasing metallic click, and release with just the right amount of firm pull. A good, simple product that does what it promises at a very reasonable price.

The media could not be loaded. They are exactly as advertised. These are small and thin. Even with that they have a very powerful magnet. It comes with two sets. Each set consisting of one metal plate, on magnetic metal plate, four screws and each plate also has adhesive sticky pads. I think you could probably get away with just using the sticky pads although I did go ahead and use the four screws. I was using it for a nightstand with a door that wouldn't stay shut. It works great and holds the door closed. Also it looks good as the design is so flat. It's not even noticeable that they're there. Even though they are a powerful magnet it is not too hard to open either. The company got this one just right. Would buy again if I need to. Highly recommend.

The adhesive did not hold up so had to use the screws that came in package. Pesky drawer now stays shut.

I used these magnets to keep our built in trash can drawer completely closed so our puppy wouldn’t be able to get into the trash. Very easy installation with the exception of peeling off the film on the adhesive (That took a bit of patience). I do like the fact that the magnets can be installed without nailing anything into my woodwork, that’s why I opted for these magnets. The magnet has worked like a charm - no more partially open trash drawer and my puppy had to find something else to occupy his time. Plus, I only used 1 set of the magnets - they are very strong. I will put the other magnets to use somewhere else in the house for sure!

The magnet is strong so the adhesive pulls off too easily. Do not buy unless you plan to screw these is. Tried this on a metal bathroom cabinet door. It worked great for a couple of weeks until the adhesive failed. Cannot screw this into a metal frame.

I bought some rare earth magnets a few weeks ago for a memorial flag display case I built for a customer and they were garbage. I did my due diligence by reading reviews and looking over the pictures and measurements. I bought these and I was amazed at how strong there were. Since my flag display was a front opening display I needed to make sure the flag wouldn't force it open. I installed 2 of these on the lid and they are amazing and hold the lid closed so nicely. I will be using these in more projects that I do and I'll be happy knowing they are strong and sturdy and easily do the job.

Used this on a metal cabinet where the catch had worn out. Stuck the magnet portion to the inside of thedoor. Didn't need the other part because the cabinet is metal. Was easy to install and works great!Would work on wooden cabinets also. Screws included if you prefer to screw instead of glue.

I just installed using the adhesive onto a small wooden door, which had an old magnetic attachment that was not holding well. It seems to be holding the door shut. It comes with 5 small screws in case you don’t want to use the adhesive. My main problem with the adhesive is that it was sticking to my fingers, and I had to be careful to make it stick to the magnetic plates, and not my fingers. The clasp has only been on my small door for a few hours, but the door is still closed, and the plates have not come off when I opened the door. Overall, I am happy with these clasps. Does the sticky stuff cause discoloration, or last over time? I don’t know yet.
