Continuing Saga of the Pennykettle Dragons
This is the fourth book of the Last Dragon Chronicles and the continuing story of the Pennykettles, David, Zanna, and Alexa. It's been 5 years since David has disappeared and Zanna now has a daughter, Alexa, by David. Life is hard since Zanna misses David. Alexa draws dragons and talks of fairies, and everyone thinks it's a five year old gibberish. But is it? Lucy, now is a teen and still thinks David is alive. She meets Tam who is in cohoots with her to try to find David. In the artic, all the snow bears are congregating and no one knows why? They are led by a bear called Ingavar. All hope rests on these bears against a darkness that is coming by the name of Ix. Will the Earth be saved or will the Ix and the darkness take over? This is an excellent series, especially those that like dragons (my favorite is Gadzooks) for all ages. I have enjoyed reading them.

A good book series for 4th and 5th grade readers.
Both my young teen daughter and son enjoyed this series. It was difficult to find good book series especially for my son. I read one of the books to ensure they were appropriate. I did not find any real violence, sex or foul language. The content was appropriate for my late grade school and earl middle school kids. We finished several in this series and my kids were always excited when the author wrote another one. We bought some of these at school book fairs, but at times had to order one online if they did not have the next book. Both of my kids read above grade level and read these books in late grade school. We also gave this series as presents to other kids at times.

It's the ending
I did enjoy this book although it is a little different then the series. When the aliens were introduced in the last book, it made me pause. But then we are talking about dragons, and why should they be so believable and the aliens not be. The prologue made up for the ending, and there has to be another book to bring normality back in; in a house full of dragons, a witch, and a scientist monk. I recommend this book to anyone who read the first book and started the adventure. If this is your first book you are picking up, check out the other 3 and read them. The roller coaster begins at the response for an add to rent a room.

Emotional Roller Coaster!
I had finished reading 'The Fire Eternal' not too long ago, and I must say that it is an emotional roller coaster! You get in depth with the people you're reading about and find so much emotional turmoil, more so -it seems to me- than the previous three books. A lot of it left me laughing or crying or just down right shocked! As a personal fan of the books I do say that this is indeed a good read and definitely worth the money!

Very good read! a dragon story, yes, but not your average dragon story. must read the whole series IN ORDER! the plot thickens & keeps you well entertained.

My ten year old daughter loved this series
My ten year old daughter loved this series. She's an advanced reader (has read the Narnia books) so it was a little bit of an easy read, but she really enjoyed the stories which is what counts. I love it when the kids find a new series they like because it keeps them reading.
