DR Handmade Strings NGE-9 Hi-Def Neon Green Electric Guitar Strings, Light (9-42)

I love these strings. I've been using them for a few months now... I think they look fantastic on my black Schecter Demon (which has a natural slight green tint), and I *love* the way they feel when I play. As a bonus, I get none of that silver stuff on my fingers! I also think they sound great... the only negative is that after several hours of playing, the color does begin to flake of the smaller strings where you attack them... but it's not too noticeable... I've decided to try the red ones on my Schecter Banshee, and the black beauty's on my Hellraiser Solo II....

I bought two sets of .009's, one yellow, one green, for a Les Paul Goldtop and a Les Paul that is Emerald Green. Just wanted to try something different than Ernie Ball Strings. Well, I'm here to say it again, "Balls Are Best". The coating was gone after one session in the studio and I really couldn't tell a difference, soundwise, between the DR Neons and Ernie Balls. Plus, they are way more expensive for one set of DR Neons than a set of Ernie Balls, Gibsons, Fenders, or any other number of strings. I've got to remember that more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. Now the DR Neon Bass Strings are great, both in looks and sound! But if you're just needing great sounding guitar strings, I'd stick with Ernie Ball, Fender, Gibson, or any of the rest of the many brands out there. Sorry, DR, but I won't be buying these again.

It looks very cool, but one string broke during professional tunning.Now looking at other brans for replacement

Strings play like any other strings. The powder coating after you get used to it, is really quite comfortable. Strings have been on one of my main guitars for a few months now with no problems. Stays in tune

Wanted some glow-in-the-dark strings to go with my glow-in-the-dark custom guitar build.Yep, they glow. Especially cool under a black light.

If you’re used to coated strings don’t go into these thinking they’re going to feel like all the others. They have a feel like fabric in the best way. I can’t go back to anything else. If DR shuts down I’m quitting music.
