A Course in Miracles: Text / Workbook for Students / Manual for Teachers

For the price point I expected a little bit more quality. The pages are so thin you can almost read both sides, it creates a somewhat blurry print. Forget highlighting passages, it would just be a big mess. Frankly I would have paid more for thicker pages. That said the content is of the fantastic. I have it on audible and like to follow and mark sentences that resonate but maybe not on this version.

I am thrilled with this large print version of ACIM. I could not read the tiny print of the standard version-- which also had really thin pages. This larger print version is just right and the pages are thicker so that you don't see print from the other side of the page on the side you're reading! It seems to be an exact copy of the standard version and I'm thrilled! If all you need is larger print to make it user friendly, as I did--- this copy works!!!

I have several copies of the approved by Helen edition of ACIM but this one was available for Kindle. Yes, it is always there but difficult to navigate. How to go from lesson to lesson except by paging? How to go from Workbook to Text or to Manual. I find it awkward to use. In paper copy I can go easily from one section to anther. Contents are not very helpful. Maybe this can be corrected as the paper copy can be a handicap when traveling. I love my Kindle. Cannot imagine life without it. And I, too, was one of those who strongly resisted changing. My main motive was that I live where there are no book stores. And our lovely library has limitation.

This book offers readers the opportunity to let go of old negative patterns developed by our experiences and which have been grown within each of us due to our perceptions. The author shares through simple daily exercises ways for us to challenge these old patterns and allow ourselves to become our authentic selves...Im still reading it as there is an exercise a day for one year, but wow....as the saying goes 'What a difference a day makes' simply actively do an exercise a day ..the kind of exercise I am talking about is in our mind so no having to get jogging!!..So get reading, allow your self to experience how different life can be and how enriching our experiences can be..we all deserve to live a life enriched and a Course in Miricles for me has been a helpful part of this process. This is not a fast read book, be prepared to read slowly to absorb and fully understand as there is so much on offer.

Well, my whole perspective on life changed. No religion is necessary, but it's helpful if you believe, or at least heard about, Jesus Christ. And have read the gospels in the Bible. I would suggest you just keep reading, even if it doesn't make sense at times. Just treat it like any other book. Read it because you enjoy it, and stop when you need a break, or are no longer enjoying it. I'm only 46% done. All aspects of my life have gotten better because of this book. I carry it around in my jacket pocket on my kindle whenever I feel like I need a morale boost.Definitely recommend this book. Worth the $4.99. And I definitely do not usually spend more than $1.99 on books. Not entirely sure what compelled me to buy it. I think Eckhart Tolle, a spiritual teacher, said that he enjoyed it, so I looked it up.Great book to read!

I brought this for my mom because she has vision problems. the book is huge and the font size is huge!What I didn't realize is what version of A Course this book is. the beautiful formal writing that Course students love so much, is the 3rd edition of the book. this book is the original which is, Im guessing, the first edition. so a lot of the writing is more candid, less deep sounding and many titles and words differ from my version. its still the same book over all, but different in many many details.while the message is the same, I'd would have really loved for my mom to read the same words I read in A Course In Miracles.

A great tool to unlearn the fear of religious teachings of sin. Today it is being used by new age people as justification to not be responsible for their misdeeds or miscreation. This leads to the rise of the ego without checks and bounds. It promotes a type of spiritual narcissism that feeds the egos and acquires things and tells the readers what their ego wants to hear that they are guiltless. The study of the Course in Miracles helps free oneself from "missing the mark" but the part about go and sin no more gets glossed over. The course does not teach or provide the necessary spiritual direction to place the concepts like "god is the Mind with which I think"... "my thoughts are his" in to the masses. The result is the ego picking this up and saying your personal ego is God. The evil that is unleased on this human experience by those claiming to have God on their side exists thru history. Your true being is of God as a sunbeam light comes from the sun. Your ego thoughts are not the sun or God.

As mentioned in other reviews, this version is the Hugh Lynn Cayce (HLC) version published by White Crow, which is the original document and has quite a bit more material in it. When loaded on my Kindle, the ability to go back and forth to each of the 365 student lessons, the 70+ teacher lessons andalso each swection of the text itself makes this much easier to use than the 'paper' version. This book is a lot to take in, and the ability to go to individual sections easily has helped me quite a bit. I have had the paper version for 10 years, but I find i have read and understood much more from the Kindle version, both from the electronic formatting, but also because the HLC version just has much more background info.

A superb, handy resource! My original paper copy has served me well and seen better days 😉 so having the online copy is most convenient. Cheers!

I have a hard back copy of this book. I bought the kindle edition to take on holiday as the book is quite heavy. I think this book is life changing. Not a lightweight read by any means but it is just amazing.

Lovely; it really is LARGE print! Just began reading after reading ACIM made easy a few weeks ago.

So glad this is available on Kindle. I can now do my daily readings wherever I am.
