This clevis is well made with nice details including a retaining clip so that the pin does not inadvertently unscrew while driving. The finish looks great, and the added detail of the red plastic trim piece not only looks cool, but should protect your strap. I highly recommend!

There are lots of these shackle hitches out there. I ordered from MotorMic because they had excellent presentation and descriptions of their product and an excellent website. It shows the seller put a lot of thought into their marketing. I received the hitch quickly, even without Prime, but it was missing the hitch pin and keeper pin. I contacted the seller thru Amazon, received a prompt, courteous reply, and received the missing items within (2) days. Very impressive!! The hitch is machined from SOLID steel and has a heavy protective coating on all parts. I will use zip ties to ensure the red shackle protector does not fall off. I do like the shackle pin keeper snap ring - A nice inclusion. Yes, everything is MADE IN China, but at least they don't allude to made in USA in their name, as many others like to do, to deceive the buyer. Overall, an excellent product with fantastic customer service.

Steel and heavy but looks well made

Just installed a second one of these on my 4runner. Great product. I’ve had one on my fj for a year or so. No corrosion or paint coming off. Lots of dust and mud abuse and the rubber cap has kept the lock working. Had to take it out on the trail to switch to another vehicle with no towing point and worked perfectly. I notice they now include a little spring clamp to make sure the D-ring does not backout and unscrew. That’s a good touch. You don’t want to lose that. The old version did not come with that (zip tie through the d-ring bolt eye and then through the d-ring is a little trick to make sure you don’t lose it on the old version).

Just got this and I LOvE it!! 💗It is heavy, Meaty, and the lock that it comes with is very effective. Don’t mind the zip ties all over it, my four-year-old helped me with the install. I didn’t have the heart to remove them. But with or without the zip ties, this is a strong piece to have on the trail. I intend to use it as a hitch cover until I actually need it, plus it has an incredibly strong look. I am glad I got this instead of a standard hitch cover. Very functional.

1st Impression: Overall I do like the product; it looks good, it seems very sturdy & the locking mechanism was well thought out. However, the product's box was absolutely mutilated upon arrival.Installation: Since the D-ring was loose, the additional rubber washers needed to be installed ( nice touch that they were included), but they were difficult to get into proper alignmemt. I really like the lock mechanism, but it is quite difficult to use & I'm left with the feeling of wondering if its on properly or going to end up on the street or trail somewhere.Fit: I've got a factory installed 2" on a 2019 Tacoma, so I've got a very standard 2" receiver. When installed & locked, it has a lot of play & wiggle. I will probably remedy that by adding some weather stripping to it so I don't hear it constantly.Verdict: solid product (I really like the lock & pray I don't lose it) with some idiosyncrasies, but I guess once you figure them out & can either deal with some noise, or add something to eliminate the rattling, you should be all good!

what I really like, slightly longer than my last, so better fit's My 2003 Ford F150 Fx4, and I REALLY LIKE ! the retaining spring !!! can be tough to get on, true !,,, however, that retaining spring gives me peace of mind !!! on distance tow's !!! because snatch strap's, or tow strap. U need turn back retaining pin 1/4", or can stick !! no biggie on recovery !! you recover !! done,!! but in tow,,, you don't want pin moving, during tow,!! n pin must be loose,!! you'd think the retaining spring, would be on ALL MAKE'S MODEL'S !!! but only Motor mic !! so thank you, !!! some complain hard to put spring on, ,, personally, I'd rather struggle a second, N have peace of Mind, ,, in addition,! I have 2 set's, of Motormic, 3/4" D ring's,( D shackles) for same reason,!! N- NONE EVER NOT FIT !!! last !! your the buyer,! Lubricate all thread's, !and touching part's,! even flat inside D ring !! and last forever,! lube yearly !!! sorry my photo, not shown on truck,!,, but is when used !! and thread's, and bald touch, well lubricated !! and beat's old shackle hitch, hand's down !!! pic's include, when needed, and when not in use !!! only use tow/recovery !! otherwise, 4th tail light on hitch !! box supplied, fit's behind seat, don't even need use my tool box !!
