I am very happy with this purchase. It seemed a little expensive when I ordered but I love the look and feel of the fabric. The blanket was nicer than I expected. I am using as a large throw to take outside when sitting in my glider on my front porch for warmth and some protection from flying insects (the bugs haven't been bad yet so I'm not sure if it will help with that - mosquitos love me). I did not buy to use as a towel so have no idea how absorbent it would be.

This has been an interesting purchase. I had ordered two blankets. They both arrived in due time, but in two separate packages which I found a bit curious. When I opened the packages I found two blankets of the same color but of different quality. One of them was thicker and longer, the other slightly shorter and much thinner. Yes, the blankets (both) are made of cotton and they are ideal for a warm summer night, but the thinner one is more like a large Turkish hamam towel rather than a blanket.I did not send the blankets back because I was not sure what I was going to receive next. I am giving three stars for the sake of the thicker blanket, which you would also get if you are lucky.
