Deliciously different
Violet candy sounds cringeworthy to modern sensibilities, but it was a popular flavor for breath mints a hundred years ago. I can see why. Yes, they taste like violets from your back yard, but they're almost indescribably delicious.

How aren't these flying off shelves? Choward's still rock decades later
These Choward's Violet candies taste exactly the same as they did when my grandmother first gave me one in the 1960s. How did this wonderful violet flavor never become as ubiquitous as peppermint and cinnamon? I love the fact that the pack I buy looks just like the ones Grandma and I shared. If you haven't tried a floral candy, do. Violet is delicious. These violet candies make me think of the words pretty and purple.

Nostalgic flavor is enjoyable
Nice nostalgic flavor from decades past.Breath fresheners break a bit too easily but they're nice to enjoy once in awhile.

Great Nostalgia
Exactly how I remember this candy to be. I used to purchase this candy when I lived in San Francisco about 35 years ago. I never saw them again until recently. This seller ships fast, and even though "retro-candy" is expensive, I find this candy to be worth it. Loved it then, still love it now!

Like Eating a Secret
This little violet square doesn’t taste like candy. It tastes like a whispered compliment from someone impossibly elegant. It’s soft, floral, and slightly powdered-like a perfume decided to become edible, just to flirt with your taste buds. You don’t so much chew it as experience it.The moment it melts, you feel… elevated. You’re not walking, you’re gliding. You’re not talking, you’re suggesting. Somehow, your posture improves. It’s not loud, not obvious-just quietly fabulous. A flavor that says, “I read poetry, but I also know how to disappear at the perfect moment.”Mysterious. Charming. A little ridiculous. And absolutely irresistible.
