Isn't amazon amazing? Best thing to come out of the internet, hands down! They shipped me this product (KAPRO 314-16) and it was missing one of the red sliding levelling pieces, so they immediately overnighted me a new one!!Got this as a gift for my father, to replace is 30 + year old, 36 in wooden ruler with 2 embedded levelling-gauges. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, nobody makes them like that anymore, it had centimeters on one side and inches on the other! The great thing about this KAPRO is that it is metal, meaning in 20 years it won't be falling apart or messing with nice smooth cuts for my father, as he uses it as a guide to cut things (like with a box cutter). The levels can be removed if you wish, by just sliding them off, but they have a very firm slide to them so they won't be going places they arent wanted. Excellent idea for a tool. Really is a must have in any house, has 1,001 applications!

So for the cost of a center rule and you get the little red level clips. I don’t think they are the most accurate but I use it more for the centering function and just mark the rule where my clips need to go and use a level that’s more accurate on the bar(although I haven’t seen a difference from the level bubbles on the red parts. Wish they just put a level in the ruler.

Best $20 (or so) I've ever spent. Just moved and for me one of the worst aspects is hanging decor. I need it to be leveled and exactly where I want it and because I'm not so great at it, some of my walls would like swiss cheese, and this would be after an hour or more of playing around. This thing I bought, took me five minutes to hand a 48 inch mirror that had two mounts on the back. I wanted to cry, I was so happy. I wish I would have bought this thing 20 years ago.

Very useful tool for hanging anything with two points that have to be level and up to 36" apart. I've had one of these for several years and use it at least three times each year and quite happy that I have it. Have also ordered one as a Christmas gift for several of my children, especially the one who has "all the tools", but did not have this one.Works great and much easier than building a small jig or template when trying to hang items.

Appears to be a used product. Ruler has red marks on it and it’s missing one of the slide markers which makes it useless. When taken out of the box, the ruler wasn’t in the packaging and the one slide marker that was included was in the bottom of the box which was sealed upon delivery. Would not recommend. Wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing!

This well-made and inexpensive measuring system should be on everyone's list. Easy to use, adjust, and layout with one-hand, it solves all the problems typical with picture hanging, stud finding, electrical outlet spacing, finding plumb and level, marking accurate lines on wood, and cutting materials like paper, leather, and cloth without fail.This is a keeper. When I think of all the times I needed three hands, a level, and a ruler to make accurate readings and markings on walls, and the ensuing cussing and frustrations, this well-designed tool could have saved me countless time and headaches.As someone else said, I would prefer aluminum instead of plastic for the handle, cutter slide, and vial indicators (and would be willing to pay considerably more for it), this is not cheaply made. And if it's never made in all aluminum I'll still be happy to have this one. Well done Kapro - I bought this on the strength of your magnetic combination square and its excellent qualities. I'm sure I'll find other of your tools with the same intelligent design.

The red plastic pieces are made of cheap plastic. The handle and bubble markers can't be locked into desired positions and tend to slide while marking the spot. The quality of the ruler itself is acceptable but not great because when you tough it, it's a little bit rough on the surface. The red handle can be held into the desired point if you squeeze your finger tightly to the bottom of the handle, but the tight grip comes loose easily. the thoughts that went into design this ruler is conceptually sound, but it needs better creative ideas to turn it into a pro rule.

Regla de muy buena calidad y a muy buen precio , el vendedor la envio bien empaquetada, llego todo completo , y el laser funciona de maravilla muy funcional, los niveles de gota funcionan perfecto, lastima que no traiga el sistema metrico combinado con el ingles, pero aun asi le pongo un diez de diez, volveria a camprarla, la marca tiene muy buena calidad

The red sliders came out and did not stay in place. If the company could make the sliders stay in place it would be fantastic. I wish i could return it.
