Trident Aegis Series Case for LG G3 - Retail Packaging - Red

I have been a fan of Trident products for years. I have protected all my devices with their products. This one however, is a little disappointing. The overall fit and feel is great. The sides by the screen are thin but have a solid feel. The main reasons I am disappointed, is how it has compared to their other products I own. 1. The port coverings are just slits in the silicone rubber that do not fit securely. They stick out on the case, and do not completely cover the ports. In conjunction to this, the rubber above them, on the bottom bezel, is unsecured and unsupported, allowing it to stretch out and move. This is from normal use, where it is being put into and pulled out of a pocket. 2. The silicon rubber material attracts every particle available. Although, the edges around the screen fit well, the type of silicon allows for lint and dirt to be a pain. It allows any particles to be caught around the edges of the screen, and behind the case. 3. The hard outside cover is very smooth. Almost too smooth. With the LG G3 being curved, it is big. Compared to the feel on the back of the device cover, this case provides less grip. This is also compared to other products I have had, produced by Trident.This case made by Trident is indeed one of the best cases out there for the LG G3, without being ridiculous in size. The Aegis series is my preferred choice because they are not as bulky as some of the other lines. I do not like built in screen protectors, which usually cause interference. This does not have one. I am currently considering other options, but for now, this is adequate, but with its downfalls.UPDATE: After 3 months of use, the headphone port covering has ripped off. I never use it, and surely dont abuse it. It is abnormal for it to just tear. This show that the rubber is not as quality as it should be. Also, the edges of the inner silicone collect a lot of debris. This is to be expected with any silicone product, but this case is especially hard to clean, without dismantling...Update: Changing review to 4 stars from 2. In my last update I had reported the headphone port covering ripping off. Many months ago I had contacted Trident's customer support. They were very professional and easy to deal with. They sent me out a replacement case free of charge. It seems that the silicone material has been changed just a bit. It no longer attracts AS MUCH dirt and particles. It does still collect some dirt and lint, but not like it did. I have had the case for over a year and has treated me well. It does still exhibit the flaws as stated above, but I have come to live with them.I will still consider trident products in the future.

It's a sharp case and there's not much to complain about. I received the order on time and the packaging was sufficient. The back is a bit slick, but it's clearly designed to be resting screen side down as the rubber lip extends well above screen to provide both protection and purchase. As slick as the back is, I had no problem personalizing it with a decal and four days later it looks as though I just put it on - there's no sign of peeling or adhesive problems. The rubber bits that cover the micro usb port and 3.5mm jack are slightly annoying, I mean it takes me a whole two seconds longer to plug something into those now, but I'm willing to deal with that annoyance for protection they may provide even if it's purely imaginary. I'm very happy with this purchase and unless the thing spontaneously combusts in the next couple of months I don't see retracting or altering this review.

I was looking for the Otter Box commuter for this phone when I found this case and after about three months use, I am glad I did. The Otter Box brand changed the commuter line for this phone by making it a one piece construction under a different name, were as the Trident case is still the two piece with a softer rubber than the commuter I had for my LG G2 and is easier to remove and put on. It doesn't feel as if your going to break your phone when removing it or putting it on like some cases do. The LG G3 has a removable battery and I have a back up that I swap instead of waiting to charge it and it is nice that this case is easy on/off. It looks great in red and has good quality flaps over the charger port which I like but I did find it got in the way when using a Bluetooth speaker/ charging station I had purchased but, again, it is easy on/off so it really is not a deal breaker. I am happy with the purchase and will seek the Trident brand for my future phones.

I have an Aegis case for my galaxy s3, which is why I felt comfortable buying one for my new g3. However, the material used in this model does not have the same snugness as silicone. The port closures don't give as good protection in my opinion because the foam-like material remains slightly open around the charging port and headphone jack. The benefit of the material is that is is far less bulky than silicone. My monstrous g3 has a smaller profile than my galaxy in their respective aegis cases. The case is also extremely simple to put on, and the inner layer is a decent case on its own.

Love the case have been getting the trident aegis case since my first smartphone, I will likely get if for my next..the case does a great job pretexting the phone, the only reason I'm giving it three stars this time is because the case seems to be a bit slippery, the same case on the G2 had a little more grip specifically in the veneer of the case (to see what I mean look up the triedent aegis case for G2)..overall Ross is a great case

Loved loved loved this case! Snug fit. Purchased 18 months ago. Definitely protected my HTC Amaze when dropped several times! Had to purchase a second one because the red plastic around volume keys chipped off...Very satisfied with case, that I just purchased a Trident case for my newly purchased, LG G3.

I have been using trident cases for over 4yrs for three different smartphones. I continue to be highly satisfied with their product line. I love the color, which matches my blaze red Verizon LG g3 perfectly and I can confidently rest assured my device will be protected with trident.
