Black Panther legacy
Rise of the Black Panther was written by Evan Narcisse with art split between Paul Renaud and Javier Pina.As the title would suggest this is a history lesson in the Black Panther.Things start with how Captain American came to Wakanda during World War II and befriended King Azzuri. He gave Cap some vibranium that was used to make his shield. Then it transitions to how T’Challa’s parents met. His mother was a scientist and shunned by the palace regulars as an outsider, and died shortly after giving birth.T’Challa also faced challenges as some of his countrymen turned to Baron von Strucker and Hydra who launched an attack upon the country to steal its technology. Although Wakanda was able to repulse the attack the cat was out of the hat about the country’s existence, and Hydra would continue to be a threat. This beginning set the stage for the themes throughout the rest of the book. Family tragedies, and foreign threats constantly challenge the strength of Wakanda and the king’s family. The comics are well drawn, and the stories are all strong. This is another great addition to the Panther series.

Different, But No Less Impactful Telling of T'challa's Rise
I very much enjoyed this telling of the rise of T'Challa. It is even more powerful in the wake of Chadwick Boseman's passing because he embodied the role so well. Although Coates was not directly involved in the screenplay, there are definitely elements that were incorporated into the 'Black Panther' film.

Top Right Corner Creased and Tip Bent
This Comic Book came damaged. The Top Right Corner is creased as if folded to hold a page except its on the COVER and a few pages in, and the Top Right Tip of the Magazine is Bent. This is the first time this has happened. It was in a sealed mail bag which had no damage on it. Terrible to receive this from this seller in this way. It looks terrible and its not something you can place under a heavier book to lay down it is completely ruin.

Well Written & Fun
I really enjoyed this look at T'Challa's early years as king of Wakanda. It reads like an exclusive behind the scenes. T'Challa embodied the pride of his people yet believed very strongly that some things didn't have to remain as they always have. It also provided some sense of contrast as he and Wakanda interacted with the larger Marvel Universe. From brief run-ins with Iron Man to Winter Soldier. The world really wasn't ready for what lies beyond the Wakandan veil
