Versatile, good construct, but slightly wrong instructions
So happy with the purchase!# ----- White gloss top -----I chose the white gloss (even though that's usually not my usual design choice) after I read a review of someone using it as a whiteboard. It's fantastic for quick notes! Remember that the seller does NOT recommend it as a whiteboard, so keep that in mind. So far (one month), I haven't seen any issues.# ----- Desk legs + adjustability -----The legs are sturdy and don't wiggle or whine during normal use. While I surprisingingly don't adjust the height often from standing to sitting, the few times I've used the crank have been pretty decent experiences. The crank isn't silent because, well, it is mechanical. However, the crank isn't too loud either. With that said, the ease of use and sound depends entirely on how you assemble the crank.# ----- Assembly -----Background: I like to work with my hands, and I don't tend to finish assemblies with more screws than expected :)So, with that said, I thought assembly wasn't too bad. I got stuck halfway through and reached for the instructions for the first time only to realize they were for a slightly different model than I got.1. Build the legs with the back part of the legs resting on the ground2. Add the casters3. Assemble the inside part of the crank4. Shift legs into the upright position (resting on casters) and test the crank by increasing and decreasing the height of the legs5. Attach desk top to legs with either 5a or 5b.5a. Shift legs back into resting on the ground, angle the heavy desk top perpendicular to the ground, and start connecting the top to the legs with screws. Lift the table to the upright position.5b. Keep the legs in the upright position, place the desk top ontop of the legs, connect the top to the legs with screws.Step 3 is where you decide the rigidity and noisiness of the crank. You'll probably have two metal bars of differing lengths (for some reason...) that you place in a hollow metal tube that has screw on cinchers. You'll want to play around with the position of the metal tube over the metal bars until the tension is strong. Less wobbly crank means less noise and more effective cranking.# ----- Overall -----I've been enjoying this desk very much! It's my first standing desk, and I've been enjoying the benefits of easily moving around while on 4+ hour calls with clients. I highly recommend especially for the price point.

This desk doesn't disappoint!
I'm thrilled with this new desk, but keep in mind that I've had it for less than a week. It arrived a week earlier than I expected and it was in great shape. I received one of three boxes within two days of ordering the desk and didn't know where the other two boxes were in shipping so emailed Amazon. I received an email response within five minutes from the Stand Up Desk Store - they have provided excellent customer service so far.About the desk:I ordered the white glossy top with charcoal base - sleek, simple, and surprisingly sturdy. I honestly didn't know what to expect at this affordable price point, but I am extremely pleased with the quality of this desk so far. I work at a nonprofit and purchasing a pricier electric desk was out of the question. I don't agree with the other reviewer that this desk is a step down from IKEA products. I was at IKEA this weekend to hunt for some storage drawers that could accompany this desk and was thinking to myself that my desk was better made and sturdier than IKEA's similarly priced desks. Their new electric desk was $750 and the desk top was that boring matte white. It took less than a hour to assemble this desk (not by me as I'm not handy at all but by my engineer family member) and we encountered no issues whatsoever assembling it. So far, I stand the first part of the morning and lower the desk late morning, raise it for first part of afternoon and sit last part of the afternoon. The crank is smooth and it just takes a minute to lower/raise.For taller folks out there, I recommend having someone measure the distance from the floor to your elbow at 90 degrees to make sure this desk will work for you. (My PT recommended that I get a desk that allows my elbows to rest on the desk at about a 90 degree angle.) That distance for me is ~ 44". The maximum height of this desk is 45.25" height of this desk, so it works great for me. From my research, the 45.25" max height of this desk is one of the taller ones out there.I'm going to give it another month to see how the desk holds up, but right now, I like it so much that I'm considering purchasing another one for my house as I telecommute some days.

Excellent standing desk!
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now (working from home). I use a dual monitor stand (clamp on) to hold my two 24" monitors, and I have an anti-fatigue mat I stand on. Overall, I love this desk! I probably stand at the desk 3/4 of the day, and crank it down and sit on a 24" tall chair the rest of the day. I did have an issue with one of the legs, which was damaged during shipping. I went through Amazon to contact the manufacturer and they sent a replacement out right away (I received it 2 or 3 days after I reported the issue). The desk was fairly easy to put together, but lining up the desktop and getting all of the screws in was a bit tricky; I found that the method was to just start the screws (i.e. barely thread them into the hole) at each corner before tightening each. I opted for the manual crank and I don't regret it. I usually adjust the height just twice per day, and it is simple to do so, with very little effort. I wish I had purchased the optional power strip for this, as I'm not finding many options for a surface mount power strip. For me, the 48" desk is a good size. I have a Macbook Pro (15") on a small vented stand, a Kensington trackball mouse, a Microsoft Natural Egro keyboard, a USB hub, and the two 24" monitors on the single-point clamp stand (as mentioned before). I still have room for my 7" tablet, my phone, a notepad, and a couple of beverages. This is the same brand my company uses in their office, which is why I considered this brand first. I did look at other brands, but many of the options out there are too expensive, in my opinion, and since I was paying for this out-of-pocket, I wanted an affordable desk. I'm very happy with the purchase!
