My little F-150 Supercrew has a 5-1/2 foot bed, and I wanted to get a small gooseneck trailer. After all the research, I decided to get fifth wheel rails and this Reese Towpower 58079 Gooseneck Base Assembly. So, for installing the Reese Towpower 30035 20K Fifth Wheel Rail Kit, I used this base assembly to ensure proper positioning. After finishing the install, I bought a 3-horse slant gooseneck trailer. I couldn't be happier. The base assembly is easy to install and remove. I use a cable lock for security. All-in-all, this is a good strong assembly, especially for the price.

This was fairly easy to install, and it hauled the gooseneck trailer with a dully on it that we needed it to.

I read other reviews and they must have been old, but they said Reese was made in USA. Interesting the ad on Amazon doesn't state country of origin. I would like to give 3.5 stars. Why put Plymouth, Michigan beside your name when it say Made in Mexico next to it. I deducted a full star because it does not align. 3 pins go in real easy, I had to get a hammer and after several attempts I got the 4th pin in but it is very tight. I will most likely get it replaced. Reese must not test each unit for fit.
