worth it--- months later still a five star purchase.
This thing could crap out tomarrow and I would still call it money well spent. I am old and my hands can't squeeze cutter like they use to. With this, I have trimmed my grapes, tree limbs, woody weeds and cut back a lot of bamboo that my neighbor has sharred with me. The bamboo resisted saws, an axe, and useing a saws all worked, but was a pain. This cutter makes short work of it, and I then cut it inot small pieces to get rid of it. It runs constantly cutting for about two hours, which is perfect for me as I get sore after that. In the short time I have had it I have used it about 80 hours, and on some limbs that are a bit much. I like it. The weight is fine, but It is well made enogh that it is solid and not light.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Used it all summer. I still love it. Great tool. Recomend still in August ...

Scotts electric pruners
These are great electric pruners at an excellent price. The battery is long lasting and I really appreciate the light weight, compared to most other electric primers. 200-800 clip per charge is more than enough for me. You can also purchase replacement cutting blades, so that is a plus. Hopefully they will be long lasting, noted that they have a two year warranty.

Better than expected
I love this pruner! Not heavy and easy to hold despite my arthritis, and it cuts better than expected. Works great even on 1 inch branches.

I like it, easy to handle, not too heavy.
Trimming the shrubs. Great for the ones that are too thick for the hand clippers.

This thing works well but is kind of slow
I bought this for my wife to use to cut some relatively thick branches that she could t get through with manually operated shears. I will say it works great though it is kind of slow. I takes a few seconds for the blade to close, which doesn’t seem like a long time as I’m writing but when you are trimming bushes in the heat it seems like a long time. Holds a charge well and I’ve never had it run out of power while using it. Only downside I can think of is the weight of it if you are using it with your arm extended. Can be kind of a shoulder pain.

Excellent Branch Trimmer, BUT BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL!
After researching for a few days I chose this branch trimmer over the other VERY expensive competitors because I noticed that the design was practically the same as far as purpose and function. I also was only planning on using this tool every few months after the initial first use. I can tell you that if you plan on doing a lot of branch cutting of bushes and hedges this is the one to get! The price was very affordable after looking at the other tool options out there. WARNING: This tool WILL CUT YOU and CUT YOUR FINGERS OFF!!! This tool is not for those that can't stay focused while performing any cutting operations! While using it I noticed that you can start to be more efficient by holding several pre-cut branches in one hand while cutting them down to small sizes that will easily fit in a garbage bag. BUT, when you hold several branches together you may not notice where your fingers are as the branches will hide them! This can be a dangerous thing! SO, I recommend this branch cutter for those that can maintain extreme FOCUS when using it. But DO NOT ALLOW any children to use this tool because accidents can happen very quickly and fingers can be cut really fast and I'd hate to read that someone lost fingers! Have a great day and be safe with ALL power tools!Update: Today I was using the branch cutter. It still had a charge after several days of sitting in storage. So, I went outside and cut a few roots that were above ground exposed. Well, I went inside after to wipe down the branch cutter.... Yikes! The branch cutter actuated unexpectedly WITHOUT PRESSING ANY triggers, and this one has two! This is very alarming! Please be extremely careful and KEEP YOUR FINGERS and anything that you value out of the branch cutter jaws at all times!

Helped the arthritic hands
I received this product on Friday and put it to use on Saturday. Works great. You do have to have enough strength in the hands to apply pressure to the switch, but the pressure needed to cut the limb was GREATLY reduced. I used it to trim crepe myrtle limbs. I was very pleased.
