Easy to put in. Saved myself a lot of money.
The old one was really tough getting out because it was put in with 3 screws, one in back and 2 in front. The one screw in the back was the bear to get out. Luckily, the new one went in without a hitch. I left the back screw out. I don't think I'd have been able to get it in again without dropping it back there. I secured the front two screws very tight. I hooked up the wiring and tested it before I put it back in to make sure it wasn't the wiring that was bad. Works great now! I had to watch a number of videos in order to figure out the process. 4Diyers was the YT channel that helped me the most. I put in the model # on the old one into the search engine and found the exact one on Amazon.

Buy Genuine
Fit like it was made for my Ranger (and it was). Don't mess around - buy OEM and you won't be disappointed. Installed and works flawlessly.

Fixed my 11 Ford Ranger perfectly!
This fixed my temp control issue on my Ranger. The two front screws are a cake walk however the rear is tough but doable with a small socket wrench…. It’s hidden.Be patient and you’ll get it. NOTE: When you remove the original one look at the position of the stem and plug the new one in and rotate your control knob to get it in the same position so it drops right in hole. Also when replacing rear screw get a longer one at HD and put a sleeve over screw so it allows it to tighten it easy with same wrench. Some don’t replace screw at all but I’m a stickler…. The screw head is higher and no longer hidden when you do this. I got that idea from a post here. BUY THE FORD BRAND NOT THE OFF BRAND!!!!!

Works for 2010 Ranger
No need to remove the dash. Was a tad difficult to install but it's doable by just removing the glove box. Took me maybe an hour. Been using for a few months now and my air blends well.

Works as intended
While this part is exactly what was needed to fix the annoying 'clicking' from the rear heat/ac unit in my 2003 Ford Expedition, it can be a little challenging to change. However, if you are the least bit mechanically inclined and want to save a lot of money, change it yourself. The only thing I didn't like about this part was that the internal gears are plastic. Which means they will eventually break again.

Motorcraft OEM
Direct replacement. Not fun to change, however with proper tooling and scraped knuckles it's possible.

Looks and works like the OEM part. Rear screw is difficult to work with.
This replacement unit works just like a new one.Except for the screw at the back of this unit, replacement is not too difficult. Remove the glove box, 2 front screws and the electrical connector. No problems.Finding and removing the rear screw is a real pain. You can't see it, can barely feel for it, and even if you can get a wrench on it, there is no room to turn it. Takes a lot of patience to finally work it out of there. My tip for reinstalling is to find a longer screw and put a bushing between the screw head and the unit so you can see the hex head above the unit as you tighten it. Otherwise, you're tightening a screw that disappears behind the unit as it goes in.
