Quality of the chess set
The product is not build with quality. Chess pieces fade over time and fall apart. stick on the chess board fall off.

It will be a birthday gift for my oldest grandson's birthday...he will be 13, an official teenager. He, his dad and youngest brother are avid Lord of The Rings fans. They have all the movies and many memorabilia items. They have read the books as well and can quote much of the scripts of the movies. This gift will be truly loved by them for many years to come and hopefully a family heirloom for Mitchell the birthday young man. It is a truely beautiful seat and I'm very pleased with it and can't wait for the 13th birthday next month.

Exactly what I wanted
As a chess and LOTR fan, this is something I really wanted. When I received it, the pieces were very difficult to get out and I accidentally pulled a blak pawn off its base, I superglued it back and now you can't tell it happened.I wish the board was a little bigger relative to the pieces.

The pieces are really small
The pieces are so small. The picture of the actors on the board cheapens it. The board playing face is made of a plastic sort of material. It should have been made of glass.

Decent buy, but not perfect.
Overall, I love it. But there are a few little things you should know. One, the pieces were a little smaller than I envisioned them. Two, one of the window frame pieces fell out and I had to super glue it in. Three, two of the sword blades came snapped off because they are very fragile. And it's not easy to super glue those back on. Once I fixed these issues it was fine.
