CTA Tools A878 Fan Clutch Wrench - 32mm

I had fabricated a tool, from a strip of steel previously and used it to remove the fan clutch on a BMW E when I was replacing belts . But it no longer worked when I was replacing the water pump recently on the same car. It kept bending and slipping off the nut no matter how I tried. Ordered this tool from Amazon, it arrived in 2 days and did the job lickety split!The only thing I am not too happy about, is the price, for a tool that I will hardly ever use again.

Exactly what it says on the tin, a really thin wrench for the fan clutch nut on a lot of engines. You'll still either need something to hold the water pump or hit the end with a sharp hammer blow, but this makes both methods easier by being thin and providing concentrated force.

I bought this to change the tie rods on my E36 BMW. The inner tie rod end requires a narrow 32mm wrench and this fit perfectly. The fact that it also works for my fan is a bonus.

I bought this to remove the fan clutch on my 1995 BMW M3 (e36). It's cheap, nothing special, but works just as good as any other flat metal clutch wrench would work. Do yourself a favor and buy this instead of blowing 3 times as much money on an expensive wrench that you will hardly ever use.

Worked well for removing the fan from my M Roadster with S52 engine. Nice that it accepts a half inch breaker bar.

Was listed that it would work on my 2001 BMW 325i but it did not fit. I didn't have time to wait and return it so I had to modify the tool to work on my car. In the end I ended up trashing the tool. The tool itself seemed ok but Amazon or CTA tools need to update the website to show that this will not work on my type of car.
