It's sleek-looking and adds basically no weight. When I really plan to ride at night and go somewhere, I use a heavier-duty light, but this is good to always have there -- I often turn it on flashing mode even for day riding.It's not enough to really light your path, but it is fairly visible for its size. Fun and easy to take on or off. The only real issues (pretty much all easily dealt with):1. The batteries it uses are obscure, and very expensive if you buy at brick and mortar stores. But you can buy generics quite cheaply online. Still, not as convenient as standard AAA batteries.2. There is no obvious indication that your batteries are dying. The lights just get dimmer and dimmer, and eventually you realize something's wrong. Still, mine lasted a very long time, even forgetting to turn it off at times!3. The silicone casing does attract a bit more dirt than regular hard plastic. But it can be removed from the light module fairly easily for a thorough cleaning.4. If mounted with the light on top, the light shines annoyingly in my eyes. This was easily fixed by just mounting it upside-down -- just make sure it's angled up enough so it's still clearly visible to traffic.I also disagree with others' statements that you need to remove it to prevent the silicone from stretching: I've left it on almost constantly for half a year, and it fits just as tightly as ever. Overall would recommend this. It's especially great for bikes (racing or road) where you wouldn't want to screw on a heavy headlight/mount. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bright secondary light! *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on September 18, 2012* I currently live and bike in an urban/suburban environment, so I don't always need a super bright light to illuminate my way (when I do I use theΒ  CygoLite ExpiliOn 300 USB Li-on Rechargable Headlight Β bright and $25 cheaper than the newer/+50 lumen model). What I really do always want on my bike though, is an easy, low maintenance, and most importantly low profile (for thefts of opportunity) simple blinking light so cars see me. The Beetle fits the bill.It is very bright and visible and offers almost unlimited mounting options due to it's stretch around mount design. I currently have it mounted on my headset for two reasons. The "open" lens design of the light makes it easier to see from all directions than a "closed" lens design (think a flashlight or spotlight - light only goes forward in a beam). That said, when mounted on my handlebars it was a little annoying for me to see the blinking right below me at night. On the headset though, the stem blocks the light for me while remaining 100% visible for everyone else. Awesome. Additionally, the black Beetle blends in with my black headset perfectly so with a quick glance from more than 5-10 feet away it just looks like the headlight is a part of my headset. So far, that's made for a great thief deterrent. Lights that stick up and off of the handlebars are easily noticeable and in urban areas, prime targets for crimes of opportunity - ie someone just walking by, noticing, and realizing it would be easy to steal. If you don't want to leave it on your bike at all, the beetle is also really easy to pull pull off and put in a pocket - nothing to unscrew, nothing to unlatch, just the stretchy pull loop.All in all, a great little blinker. ### ⭐⭐⭐ More Cute Than Functional *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on November 14, 2010* I hope that should anyone purchase this bike light that they realize on tiny it is. To put into perspective it's about as small as a baby's fist. Therefore this can pose a problem when you want to strap it onto your bike since it might be too small and not fit around the entire diameter of your handle. The way the light works is that it's shaped like a tadpole, the tale end of the light wraps around the handle and there's a hook at the head where the tail comes around and attaches to (which you can somewhat see in the picture). The material the Knog is made of is flexible and somewhat stretchy.The light itself is a little bit sub-par from what I was expecting based on the reviews I read. Yes, it can be quite bright for such a small light, however it's only effective at close distances, and if you ride your bike like i do, you'd rather know of cracks, bumps, etc six feet in front of you instead of maybe 2-3 feet. At farther distances from it's optimum 3 feet, the light becomes significantly more dispersed and less concentrated.There is also the smaller issue of turning the light on and off. The Knog functions by having you push down on its head to push a button underneath its skin, and in order to turn it off you must click through its various modes.
