They have a lock switch, which is good, but the switch on one of the 8 units won't stay in place, so I have to hold it in place, or turn the lighter upside down, to operate the trigger. They have a slider to adjust the flame, the adjustment doesn't do much, but it's not zero. You can see the fill level so I was able to see it was about 4/5 full on all my units, which I believe is the max you want them filled (refill at 20%, stop at 80%); I checked this since some reviewers indicated they didn't think they were filled right on receipt. I like that they are refillable and will purchase a butane bottle to fill them when I get down to the last lighter. When all is said and done, I am happy with these lighters and recommend them.

So far, I've used this product exclusively for lighting fires in our 'fireplace insert', which is used for heating our rural home. I am only withholding one star at this point, because I cannot yet judge the ability to refill this Elite Lighter successfully, because my first of the set is still functioning perfectly. The unit fits my hand, is easy to hold, and even with the 'child safety' feature, can be operated with just one hand. The 'fuel release button' is easy to move with my thumb, and the trigger, used to ignite the flame is easy for my index finger to pull. So far, only one pull has been needed to ignite the flame. The flame is adjustable, and very adequate, even in the lower adjustment position. The higher flame adjustment is super, for reaching further back into the kindling. There is a small ring built into the unit, for hanging it safely on a hook, and it folds away neatly if not needed; and the bright colors make it easy to locate, if not hung in one location. I love the design of this lighter, but mostly, I love that it WORKS , and I'm finding I can depend on it. It comes with printed directions that are very adequate, and include instructions for 'refilling' that for the first time ever, may make it possible for me to refill one of these devices, as I now see, I've been attempting it incorrectly. I now look forward to the challenge of refilling this unit, and feel better informed on how to do it. I will definitely buy this product again, when others are needed, and will highly recommend them to friends.

Using the button to activate is a little stiff and have to jiggle to ignite otherwise everything else works perfectly and looks pretty nice - right sized; unlike some really long lighters which may have been designed for extra safety but become a menace when it comes to storage

Flame length is long even when set on low flame setting. Most lighters contained low fuel levels. Get used up quickly. Didn't feel that it was worth the trouble of refilling than as they are also very stiff or hard to turn on. Will not purchase again.

These lighters are the perfect size for lighting candles, and since I have candles in each room, instead of carrying one all over the houses, each room will have it’s own lighter.

While these work fine, they run out of butane very fast. I used 1 of them to light my grill approx 5 times and to light mosquitoes torches maybe 6 times and it's already dead. I would look elsewhere.
