Stereo Headphones for Samsung Galaxy S8 / S9 / S8 Plus / S9 Plus / S10 / Note 8/9, with Microphone

My OEM Samsung earbuds which I carted around everywhere finally gave out. Some of the reviews said that these were not the same as OEM and not as good. I was hesitant to buy them at first. I bought some others which I didn't like as much comfort-wise, then bought these knowing I could return them. They're great! Fit my ears well without falling out and sound/feel just like the originals. Very happy!

These earbuds are fantastic. Listening to music (or even theme songs from television shows that I stream on my cell phone) gives me that same astonished feeling I experienced the very first time I heard stereophonic music in the 1960s. I'm not much for using earbuds during the day, but I would be if I were a commuter or a walker. Instead, I use them at night so that whatever I am listening to as I fall asleep doesn't disturb anyone else. These earbuds are ergonomically correct, so they fit securely without hurting my ears (even when I have my head on a pillow). Great purchase!

Received this product March 7. Used it maybe 3 times. Took it to work, placing it in my pocket as I always have. I've always ordered this specific earbud through the years because this was the one that originally came with my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. I've never had an issue with them, until this time. I took them out of my pocket and the right earbud was barely hanging by the wire. The earbud itself fell apart in my pocket. How is that possible, unless it was poorly made? So I was able to use the left earbud but the sound quality wasnt good. I could barely hear through it. So I placed back in my pocket and finished my shift. Afterwards when I left work I took them out of my pocket and the right earbud that was barely hanging, had fell off. Threw them in trash. One star review based on poor quality build

I lost my pair that came with my s9 so I purchased these. I compared the sound quality with my brother's pair (he also got them with his s9) and they pretty much sound the same. The only issue I have is that the volume buttons are flipped so the (+) decreases the volume and the (-) increases it.

After a few days of using these for exercising I noticed there was static in the background. I only noticed it when I paused my music. This doesn't bother me too much since I didn't pay much so I knew these weren't high quality but the fact that within a few days of getting them they are already showing signs of failure is not a good sign.

These are absolutely the same headphones I got with my note 9. Even the packaging was the same. The sound quality is great. I misplaced my AKG headphones as I got with my note 9 and missed them so much. But these are EXACTLY the same. The sound is clear and loud. I was really sceptical because there are so many fakes of these headphones. I am a REAL customer leaving a REAL review. If you want a pair of samsung AKG OEM headphones you really found them this time.

I got these earbuds to replace the ones that came with my Samsung phone after my cat thoroughly chewed them up. The vendor seemed trustworthy enough. After unwrapping them and plugging them in, I noticed that the sound that I was hearing wasn't quite as good as the original set of earbuds I had. Slightly annoying, but I could live with that. The problem I have with my product is the shoddy build quality. The earbud with the microphone/volume control has been determined to fall apart. First the plate with the AKG label was popping off. Ended up using some old superglue to put it back on. Then the plate and rubber part it attached to on the outside of the speaker unit pulled off, secured only by the earbud wires going from the speaker unit to the actual wires. Needed more superglue to put back on. All in all, this seems to be a cheaper, more shoddy version of the earbuds I got with my phone. If you aren't looking to spring for more expensive earbuds, I guess these will work well enough for you. However, I would urge you to spend the extra money for a better set of earbuds, because these feel like cheap knock offs that will die on you much sooner than a cheaper set of earbuds.

The sound quality is very good (a.k.a. Hi-Fi), similar to the original earphones that came with the phone, and they are also comfortable to wear. I had previously ordered these same earphones from a different supplier, but unfortunately, they had a very tinny sound, which I suspect may have been a non-genuine product. This seller's product is a significant improvement! I later decided to add some diagrams I had come across earlier, which may be of interest to those who enjoy geeky details. The exploded view shows that these earphones, known as Samsung AKG IO-IG955 (AKG Harman company became a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics in 2017), feature dual drivers, commonly referred to as a two-way speaker. I disassembled my old, broken pair and measured the diaphragms of these drivers. Two-way drivers are beneficial for their improved frequency response, as one driver is dedicated to producing bass, while the other is responsible for high-pitched sounds. AKG's tuning process involves adjusting the drivers and incorporating various damping materials to achieve a flat frequency response. Notably, the frequency response diagram shows a small peak at 15kHz on the right side, which contributes to the sense of presence in the sound. This, combined with the overall shape of the curve, is a key aspect of the earphones' performance. In contrast, the frequency response of most other earphones deteriorates above 10kHz, although some Sony products and a few other AKG-tuned earphones exhibit reasonable performance in this regard.
