Pages are missing!! Amazon reselling damaged returns!! Shame on them!!
The first 15 pages were missing from the front of the book. There was a paper bookmark placed where the pages were missing, so I could tell this book had already been returned by someone else and had not been processed as "damaged" as it should have been. Amazon was good about sending out another book as a replacement. However, this book came missing pages 1343 though 1390, and pages 1391 through 1438 were put in twice. Again, this book had paper bookmarks placed into it where the pages were messed up indicating to me it too had been returned to Amazon and had not been properly processed as "damaged."While I do not blame Amazon for the error in assembly of the books, (the publisher is Bridge-Logos) I do think they need to re-evaluate their system of taking in "damages" to avoid them being resold. I have just returned book number two for a replacement and will update this posting if it is flawed as well.As for the contents, I like the material. It is set up to be an evangelical Bible and is filled with helpful tools ie passages with bold typeset are for use in witnessing and preaching and have corresponding comments, 12 page content guide to common questions and objections, topics like the function of God's law, scientific facts in the Bible, springboards for preaching and witnessing, principles of growth for the new and growing Christian. and in depth comments on various topics. The text used in this Bible is what is called a "Comfort-able KJV", meaning a revised King James version in which archaic words such as "concupiscence", "decketh", "eschew", "feigned", "hawn", "heretofore", "howbeit", "intreaty", and "waxeth" have been modernized into contemporary English. All words (even those of Jesus) are in black. All said, I hated to have to give the book just two stars. Based on content, if I ever get a book with all the pages included and in the right order, I will happily give it 5 stars.

Nice Study tool.
The best thing about this Bible is the articles explaining areas of confusion. They are well written and detailed, snuggled throughout the Bible where the questions arise. I would recommend this Bible to people who want to share their faith and want to be knowledgeable in other religions and in how to witness to people. I would recommend it for anyone serious about sharing their faith. I also like the way they updated the words in the Bible, These would be verbs and adverbs that we don't use today. Example: did instead of didst, say in lieu of saith. The mean of the scripture isn't changed and nothing is left out. It's an a;; around excellent study Bible.

Horrible Kindle Version
Content is awesome, but if you want to jump around to different chapters, forget it. Table of contents only has books, if you want to Psalm 100, you start at Psalm 1 and scroll to 100, more than frustrating. The a lot of the commentary are graphics and not text. If you change colors like change the kindle theme to night, graphics stay white. Most bibles are not optimized for a Kindle of any kind, some are better than others, but this is a horrible format for this edition. Hopefully they will fix this someday.

Great content!
I own the hard copy of this book and absolutely love it. So much great information. The kindle version is difficult to navigate. As example; looking for a scripture in Psalms you have to turn pages one by one to get to the verse you want and that can take awhile if you are looking for the 103rd. If you are using this as a learning tool like a text book and studying one page at a time cover to cover, it is great. I wouldn't give up my hard copy.

A good Bible, but the commentaries...
I enjoy getting a creationist perspective on the NKJV, but honestly Ray Comfort showed himself to be willing to twist people's words to to fit his conclusion. Don't get me wrong, I agree with his conclusion, just not the way he got there. I am no believer in evolution, but Ray Comfort takes a snippet of Charles Darwin's quote and presents it as proof he changed his mind on evolution. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is absolutely no evidence Darwin changed his views, even though he was an ordained minister, but nevertheless, a naturalist (believed there is a natural cause for everything). Of course evolutionists laugh at Comfort's obviously misuse of Darwin's words--and sadly they are right, so it is not a very good example for us to hold up to those we are bringing to Christ. That's the only thing I found so far, but if we cannot rely on the veracity of one commentary what does it say about others in there?Apart from that one I found it is a good Bible commentary for evangelizing. A scholar may find other holes in it, but I did not find any as yet.

Difficult to use with Kindle; however...
Great tool for apologetics and evangelism; however, the kindle version is difficult to navigate. I wish this was set up like Tecarta bibles. One thing that I have found to make navigating to a specific chapter a little quicker is to use the search function. It is still slow, but no as slow as manually turning to say, Psalm 75.The inconveniences aside, I would still recommend this for your ipad/kindle.update: I purchased the evidence bible commentary for the olive tree app, and it is much easier to navigate and you can use it with whichever version bible you choose. i highly recommend this app over the kindle version.

"Comfortized" King James Translation
While the articles are important, the greatest asset this Bible has is the "Comfortized" King James translation. Ray Comfort has taken the KJV, and removed the dozen or so Old English words that trip most people up. This means that you can read, and read aloud, this version with ease. It really brings the Bible to life.

The Evidence Bible
The Evidence Bible For many people like myself who prefer the King James Version opposed to the so-called modern translations, then this is the Bible for you! With this version only the archaic have been changed to modern words all others remain the same. The Bible is full of information concerning JW's, Mormon's and many other cults and sects!Ray Comfort does refer to this Bible as a `Study Bible', I would say yes and no (not really much in the way of study). This Bible should be read with another Bible to hand if you want a real commentary on God's Word!Don't just my word for it, use your search engine type inn `The Evidence Bible' and look for the site Living Word, you will be able to download a PDF file of John's Gospel, this is set out the very same as it appears in the Bible! Can't remember just where I got it but the whole New Testament is available for download on the internet!!P.S. If you go to Amazon.com and type in 'The Evidence Bible' you will find around 5 pages of comments! The Evidence Bible
