Spacious, functional, and cute!
I just got back from my 4th big trip using this backpack and had to come write a review. I have been using it as a suitcase on trips where I have a lot of walking to do to and from the hotel where I may be using the train, etc., to get to my hotel and it serves as my one piece of luggage as a carryon. I typically stuff it as full as possible and the seams have held up well. I've also been caught in the rain and the fabric has done well in those situations too. I am in love with the different compartments and how practical they are with tons of pockets and places for pretty much everything you can think of. I typically carry it as a backpack but love having the option to pull it on its wheels if I want to. Another great feature is the key storage, as I don't have to rummage and fumble for my keys when I return from my flight and need quick access to them. And besides the cute color and design, I just love the overall practicality and functionality. One of my best buys to date and I HIGHLY recommend!

Great practical roll along bag for second year nursing students!
After busting through 2 luggage type roll-along bags (the wheels literally broke on both bags), I broke down and purchased a new one after reading several reviews. The previous wheels broke due to the massive weight of a second-year nursing student. The place I work has a lot of downtimes, so I needed a bag that would not only handle the amount of weight from books, but that could work as a complete student office bag so to speak as I take it to work every single day to utilize every second of downtime for studying. I need quick, easy access to my books and study material. I ordered this Matein roll along bag, the 17 inch roll-along bag, with free shipping. But even with that, I ordered my bag on Friday evening and received the bag Sunday afternoon (super fast shipping). This was a great relief because I thought I would have to struggle with taking my broken wheels bag for several days. But nope, it came super fast which I was very pleased about. Immediately after receiving the bag, I "put the bag together." I love the cup pocket on the side. It fits my insulated water cup nicely. There are 2 bigger compartments. I like to organize my classes by folders, so I organized the front smaller compartment with my nursing classes folders, and then put my big, honk'in nursing books in the middle compartment. I'll admit, it was a tight fit, but when I placed notebook paper in the side area, it all fit, surprisingly. LOL! It has a small zipper compartment in the front, top of the bag where I placed all my highlighters, colored pens, pens and pencils into for easy access. You could use it for your phone and headphones if you wanted to. There is a zipper area lower front that I put a calculator, stapler and headphones into. In the main compartment there is a padded area for laptops. I purchased this bag because I graduate from nursing school in September 2021 at which time I would like to do some traveling. So, I purchased this bag with that idea in mind. I believe size-wise this rolling along bag would be great and would fit as an overhead bag, so you wouldn't have to worry about checking in the bag. There is plenty of space with awesome pockets for traveling. I love that the roll-along handle zips inside if you use it as a backpack. And then the same goes with the backpack straps...there is a compartment that zips them in so you don't have to see them or mess with them when you don't need them (i.e. during nursing school when there is no way I'm using this as a backpack-shoulder killer-LOL!). I also love that the bag stands securely straight up and down (no constantly falling over). And all the compartments have easily accessible zippers on both sides (talk about time-saving). The handle seems great. It's kind of a squishy plastic that grips for comfortable hand grip and the wheels seem sturdy. The only downfall for me and the use of this bag is I wished it was bigger. But again, I bought it with that in mind because I really want to be able to get my money's worth out of it when I finish nursing school, and I think it will be an awesome travel bag. The only other thing is I wished it came in different colors and fabrics (like Jansport bags), but I wanted a sturdy roll along bag, so I chose this one instead. And hey, this one can be used for my girl or boy teenagers later for travel. All in all, 5 stars for this bag. I went ahead and purchased the 4-year warranty, but after seeing this bag, I do not anticipate using it. Seems VERY well made....strong zippers, handle and wheels. Very happy with this purchase!

Sturdy Design and Easy To Use - ROLLS SMOOTHLY
The MATEIN Rolling Backpack is a great find! It has many pockets and compartments. The color is not bright or drab. The wheels make it easy to transport and it is stable on the wheels. The zippers are sturdy and easy to use. I am looking forward to using this backpack for many years!

Lasted the whole school year
We have been through many rolling backpacks that didn’t last a school year. This one is the only one that lasted the whole school year. It is large enough for many textbooks, notebooks, and binders. It has a good number and size of other pockets and compartments. Over time the bottom gets torn up in the back where it drags against the ground when rolling, so I had to buy a new one even though the rest of it is in pretty good shape. The wheels, telescoping handle, and zippers all last the year.

A Must-Have for Long Days at the Infusion Center
We are so glad we purchased this rolling backpack. It has plenty of room for a laptop, chargers, snacks, paperwork, medications, and all the other things we need when spending most of the day at the infusion center for chemotherapy treatments. The wheels make such a difference. Instead of carrying a heavy bag through the parking lot and around the cancer center, we can simply roll everything along with us. It is roomy, practical, easy to maneuver, and helps keep everything organized and within reach. This backpack has made our long treatment days much easier and more comfortable. We highly recommend it for travel, work, school, or anyone who needs to carry a lot without putting all that weight on their shoulders.

Easy to alternate between wheeled bag and backpack without stopping to adjust!
I was looking for a backpack to replace my 15+ year old Samsonite that has reached the end of the road. I wanted something that would allow me to use the wheels whenever I wanted, but also switch over to the straps quickly without having to zip or unzip a compartment/flap first. The ability to switch quickly between carrying it as a backpack and dragging it as a wheeled bag does not disappoint. This is especially important to me when I am boarding/exiting a plane as I have historically traveled over 200,000 miles per year - so that's a lot of flights. I've been on half a dozen flights so far with this bag, not to mention lugging it back and forth to the office almost daily when I am not on the road, and it has functioned beautifully whether using it has a backpack or a wheelie bag. Switching between the two is just a matter of grabbing the handle and dropping the bag to the ground. I just tuck the straps into the pocket up near where the handle comes out when they aren't in use to shorten them a bit so they don't interfere with the wheels. No unhooking is necessary, although you could unclip them and store them completely out of sight if you want to. Also, speaking of the straps, they are quite long (the actual nylon material, not the padded parts), but rather than cut them I bought a couple 1" Webbing Ending Clip Quick Slip Keeper Adjusting Strap Buckles to keep things organized and from dragging on the ground while the wheels are in use - works like a charm. The compartments themselves are just right for my needs - I especially like the laptop sleeve inside the main compartment, which keeps my computer and/or tablet from sliding all over the place in an otherwise cavernous space. There's also a separately zipped narrower chamber that is perfect for my notebooks, and even that has a mesh pocket to keep items organized if desired (perfect for a secondary electronic device like a tablet). The smaller zippered pockets provide ample spaces and ways to store all my smaller stuff (keys, wireless mouse, earbuds, pens, lip balm, travel snacks, driving gloves, etc. etc.). I would have liked dual zippers on the small pocket at the top as I always seem to need to access it from the opposite side that the zipper is on, but that is such a minor nit and for the price point the features of this bag can't be beat. The larger lower pocket has a nice inner zippered section as well as some pen holder pockets to keep things neat and organized. The side mesh pockets are deep but also hold things snugly, such as an umbrella and a water bottle. The wheels are fairly silent, although the zippers are a bit noisier than some other bags. Not a deal breaker for me. Some people may not like the fact that you can't cover the wheels when using it as a backpack, but for me it's not a concern as I clean the wheels frequently and tend to wear a darker and/or wipeable outer layer if I anticipate using it as a backpack in the event some dirt gets transferred. Hasn't been an issue so far, but I am also keen to not drag it through mud, puddles, or anything else that could pick up yucky things. Shortly before buying this bag I spent well over $200 on an Everki Atlas bag that had similar features albeit some higher end materials. I ended up getting this bag instead because with the Everki, 1) I just couldn't get used to having to zip/unzip a flap to hide/reveal the wheels when alternating between wheelie bag and backpack mode and 2) the price - ouch. This bag is almost the exact same size and has exactly what I need at a fraction of the price. I am hoping it will hold up well the travel demands I plan to put on it!

Laptop Backpack Rollaway
This was just what I was looking for. I had been traveling with a regular backpack which hurt my back. This has wheels and a handle which makes it so much easier to just wheel along in the airport.

Incredibly sturdy and very spacious
I bought this bag for my college nursing bookload. In the past, I've also tended to carry in my school bags everything that I could ever conceivably need for any situation—this has been an issue on my back in the past, so a rolling backpack especially was important to me to get for that reason as well. I had bought another rolling backpack on Amazon before for a similar price, but it didn't have as many pockets as it first appeared, and the ones it did competed with the other pockets around it for space, so if you used one pocket then the rest would be inaccessible. With one minor exception, every pocket in this bag does not have this issue. There are a very large number of pockets in this bag, especially in the forward compartments, but there are still enough in the main compartment that I can keep my soft books, papers, and hard books all separate from one other. Even when it's cramped to capacity, the zipper holding the compartment together doesn't feel at any structural risk. The rod that runs through the back of the bag and into the handle is not separated from the main compartment's back by anything but a somewhat thin material, and you can feel through to it with a hand. There's a soft and thin styrofoam lining that helps keep it from jutting against the rest of what you might store in the main compartment, but the cloth separating back can be opened to put more stuffing there if you're worried about it. Putting more in there to buffer around the rod and make sure it doesn't push against your things shouldn't decrease space by much of anything. I haven't done anything with it yet, as the styrofoam lining is effective enough for me. The handle itself is a little bit testy sometimes when you try to push it back down, but that feels like such a nitpick compared to everything else the bag does well. It's surprisingly light on its own, and its backpack straps fold up extremely, extremely neatly so that you don't have to deal with fighting them ever. They attach to the bottom of the bag by a stable hook when you want to use them, and they can detach to tuck away tightly and completely when you're done with them. There's no having to feed them through straps and adjusting and readjusting them each time you want to put them on. I only switch this to be a backpack on my back when I'm trudging through snow for up to fifteen minutes, but I don't find getting it together very difficult. It's not comfortable when worn that way, but this bag has the most effective design I can think of for backpack straps on what should generally be a rolling backpack. It has two bottle holders on each side of the bag which are made out of cloth on the bottom with more mesh towards the top. They're very sturdy, and so far I haven't had issues with putting water bottles in either one, so long as it doesn't have a really weirdly large base. I'm not afraid of this part of the bag breaking over time: it's not flimsy at all. Another small thing about the extended handle is that it's surprisingly not uncomfortable to use as someone who's 5'3", but there's a lot of room that I think that someone much taller than me wouldn't be uncomfortable at all using it. I'm on the very shorter end of comfortable use. The bag is capable of handling water (or, well, melted fallen snow, from where I'm from) to an extent, but I don't think you could throw it in a pool. It's just the kind of water resistant that you would hope to expect from a good backpack, where it can handle the elements to a reasonable (but not magical) extent. I jam this thing full of stuff. Occasionally, I have to put it in a tall and narrow school locker. It fits in perfectly neatly, and I don't have to fight to pull it out. It kind of shocked me when I first saw it manage that. Given its surprising quality, I would struggle to justify buying a different bag at this price point. I can't think of any particular issues other than what I mentioned further up. I don't really post reviews, but I feel obligated to post one to glow about this backpack because it's been just so reliable. I'll return to this review in a few months to update it based on how the backpack holds up over time.

Great for school.
I have had many compliments on this backpack. Very sturdy and my laptop fits well, along with mouse, mousepad, headphones and power cords. It can fit a binder and text book too. I can also stuff my light jacket in it or without a text have put my wool winter jacket in if I don’t want to carry it.
