Helmet BRIGADE+ AUDIO All Black

First of all I have to admit I’ve tried many latest models in store but I really like the salomon helmets because their custom dial make it tailor fit for your head. My head size is 56 and M is the best. This is audio model so it has 3D sound system inside and this model comes with sound cable.

Ok so roughly 10 years ago I did a couple full seasons skiing everyday and had an amazing helmet with a wire audio system, this year I finally got a good break and needed to purchase a helmet for my now adult head, I was shocked by the limited choice available online and price points available, I knew wearing my headphones wasn't going to cut it and looked into universal helmet headphones that fit in the ear pads but wasn't convinced, since every (very few) bluetooth ski helmets that came up were outrageously expensive I was kind of locked down to this Salomon model. When I first I received it, I tested it in my home with the audio on max level and was so disappointed with the sound level being so low I almost wanted to return it and thought I just wasted an extra £40 for probably worse volume than with external headphones shoved up my ears under the helmet. What's more 2x of my masks / goggles (expensive models) that used to fit on my old helmet would not fit because of its wide design to the front, be sure the goggles / masks you want to wear need be only strap from the glass/frame, if there's a bit of plastic or anything it will prob be impossible to fit on your face with the helmet. Time of the essence I just had to pack it and go skiing. The helmet is comfortable, perfectly breathable, had no discomfort whatsoever and no temperature issue whatsoever on the default setting. I wore nothing under it and my ears never got cold. The volume ended up being more than fine on all occasions streaming on Spotify the entire week, I really heard my music both skiing and when on a lift enough to enjoy it - I looked into trying to hijack the volume of the iphone or spotify and couldn't find a solution to do either on my 6S and again the volume was just fine - tho it was on MAX the WHOLE time... and I do like it quite loud. So it could have done with some extra volume like 10% to jack up those oddly low volume tracks but other than that it was fine. The wire does come out of the back left side of the helmet, in case you're short and don't have an extension and wanted to run it though the right side of your jacket. It plugs in this helmet entrance with a bit connected to the headphones which comes out of the helmet afer skiing a couple days but does stay in place with about a couple cm's out of the helmet. I fell once super gently and the helmet protected my head like a cushion, the wire disconnected from the helmet bit - which is pretty good so nothing got damaged either my device or the helmet bit or anything...overall I'm happy with it, it could do with 10% extra volume, maybe you premium spotify users or android users have a solution for that, the cable's length was more than enough to fit my iphone in my jacket's pockets, if you need more you can always attach an extension. Just beware to test your goggles / purchase ones that have nothing but the strap on either side connecting to the frame. I think Salomon it's about time you give us a nice little range of upgraded tech helmets, a bluetooth model and a few price points to choose from.

To anyone currently considering purchasing this product, DO NOT.The audio system is AWFUL for the following reasons:1. The max volume is EXTREMELY QUIET. How are you meant to hear the music whilst skiing/snowboarding. The answer is, with this product, you cannot.2. The cable is COMPLETELY USELESS. Even the slightest movement induces cracking noises. You would have thought this would be factored in given the fact this is a Ski/Snowboard helmet!If you want to listen to music whilst you ski either use normal headphones/airpods underneath your helmet OR buy an audio helmet that actually performs the function intended.TERRIBLE PRODUCT, AVOID PURCHASING.

Unfortunately the sound quality was not good and the size was not correct. I sent it back.

Also an dem Helm gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Sieht gut aus und sitzt gut. Außerdem macht er einen sicheren Eindruck.Das sogenannte Soundsystem ist eine einzige Peinlichkeit. Wer den Helm deswegen kaufen will, sollte es lieber lassen. Ich habe ihn nur mit gekauft, weil er ohne nicht verfügbar war in meiner Größe, und lege keinen Wert darauf.

...wahrscheinlich um die Nutzer "vor sich selbst zu schützen". Das heute übliche paternalistische Nudging. Ich hab den Helm wieder zurückgeschickt.

Je l’ai utilisé à mes vacances précédentes et il est top. Pour les cellulaires les plus récents cela nécessite d’acheter un câble jack supplémentaire pour le raccorder à votre portable. Le son est suffisant et bon. Qqs coupures mais c’est dû au mauvais réseau présent dans les Vosges. Contrairement aux photos le câble est assez long pour allez dans n’importe quelle poche et ne nécessite donc pas un câble rallonge comme j’avais acheté pour être certain. Je suis vmnt ravi!!
