Sturdy black bracket shelf
15 minute install ...studs were right where I needed them to be. I used 1x 5.5 inch boards side by side using the screw hole in the bracket to hold them in place. The true depth of my brackets is 12 inches so that gap at the end looks great as a hook.

Easy to use
Brackets are very easy to install. I used them with a piece of figured maple that I had. I really like the look that they have. It came with the installation hardware and was very straight forward.

Crap hardware
I can't help but echo the other reviews who say the hardware is crap - it is. I had to 2 screws sheer when drilling it studs. I didn't use any drywall anchors as I aimed for the studs but those look like crap too. Do yourself, if you're drilling into studs, go buy 2.5 inch #9 construction screws. They'll probably be gold color, but just paint them black. I used the regular screws, even after 2 sheered, and I bumped into one of the brackets while installing my shelves. The bracket then loosened from the wall. The screws are bad, use better ones.

The Screws Always Break
This is the second set of brackets I've ordered off Amazon. Of course, they're made in China. While the brackets themselves are fine, the screws they include are POS. They repeatedly snap. I no longer use any screws that come with them and instead purchase the screws from a hardware store.
