FUN & EDUCATIONAL 🌋🦖
The media could not be loaded. There’s a lot in this set. In total there are 15 experiments although experiments vary from volcanic eruptions to a maze on a card so some are more involved and better than others. My kids made a YouTube video of them using this set which I hope to add to this review in the future. We did the two volcanic eruptions (this is where citric acid, bicarbonate of soda and water, and red food colouring to make the mixture lava coloured, are mixed to make an eruption, one eruption by dropping the stuff in at the top and one by pumping it in from the bottom using a syringe). We did the dinosaur fossil excavation (which is standard fare for these types of dinosaur-related sets) and a couple of experiments where we placed transparent plates onto a map of the world to show where in the world active volcanoes are, also taking into consideration where they are in relation to the tectonic plate boundaries, and also to show where different dinosaur fossils have been found.Experiments we haven’t done yet include making a lava lamp, a seismograph, a geyser and more.We had fun doing these experiments. The volcanic eruptions were fun to do using the plastic volcano enclosed in the set. There is also plenty of citric acid and bicarbonate of soda and food colouring left afterwards so the eruptions can be repeated and repeated. The digging up a dinosaur fossil was also fun because it was very messy which kids love (recommend doing this one outside where the excavated chalk/plaster can also be used for drawing on the floor). This excavation revealed parts of a dinosaur skeleton which all fitted together to make one mini-skeleton which was fun.As well as being fun the set is educational. It teaches science (with chemical reactions), history (dinosaurs) and geography (about volcanoes). So there is a lot to commend this set for. I think it is worth 5-stars.

Amazing value and lots of educational fun
This is an amazing value little set that is packed full of awesome, science related, educational activities that both children and adults can enjoy. There really is a massive amount crammed into this little box and throughout the Summer Holidays we completed a few of them but still have lots more to do, perfect for a rainy day.The main features of this are the Volcano, which has the base and the volcano body and it basically involves adding the bicarbonate of soda, citric acid and a bit of food colouring (if you want to, but you can leave out if you're worried about staining) and it quickly erupts a bubbly, foamy liquid, it's great fun to watch and can be done again and again, my Son loves to have the volcano in with his dinosaur toys and when he's playing outside with it I can leave him with the ingredients as they'r child friendly and he erupts it where appropriate in his game! The instructions are also very clear and have picture diagrams for children to follow but I supervised on the first couple of goes but it's so easy for him to do which is great and he's learnt a new skill! His other favourite has been the excavating of dinosaur bones, this is quite messy so best done in the garden or on a lot of newspaper you can scoop up. You chip away at a 'rock' and find several 'dinosaur bones' which then piece together to make a little model of a dinosaur skeleton which again is fun to play with, with the Volcano. My son was also very proud of this and feels like he's made a real archaeological discovery!!The whole set is a lot of fun, so many other things to do in it and for around £16 it makes it just over £1 an activity, with 15 things to do! Total bargain, i'd definitely buy more for gifts. Highly recommended!

Fun and educational with endless activities
At first I thought that this would be a standard volcano set with just the experiments, but it turns out that it contains a lot of fun activities, tools, informative pictures of volcanos and dinosaur figures which are awesome for your teaching your child all about history, archeology and science. The age specifies that it is suitable for children above 8, therefore don’t worry about any harmful chemicals, everything in it is safe but should still be observed with adult supervision as some of the objects are small and can be a choking hazard. The set is made from good quality plasticthat is quite sturdy, therefore you get your moneys worth provided from the amount that is inside.Inside the box you will find a variety of dinosaurs and skeleton parts embedded within blocks of clay which you can dig out using the necessary tools provided and is useful for teaching your child all about archeology and assembling parts.Make your own lava lamp, or recreate volcanic eruptions using the step by step tutorial inside the guide book - You have endless options and the best thing is everything in it is reusable and you can repeat the experiments as much as you want since the ingredients are easily obtainable.Overall I think this is a wonderful product. Not only is it educational, but it is a product which can bring you closer to your child. I would highly recommend this to anybody.

What a shocking way to (non) package an obvious gift
My product arrived today completely unpackaged, Amazon had simply slapped my address label on the original box, which started to take off the cover design as I peeled the label off. The cover design is scored and all the corners are bashed. To cap it all, powder is spuing out of it. I have never had an issue with Amazon before

Krakatoa In South Suburbia
Our nine year old nephew loves this volcano kit. Goes very well with his collection of dinosaurs. It fits in nicely with some projects he's been doing at school recently too. All the pieces are of good quality and though it can be a little messy, providing we set him him up to use it in an appropriate area with an old sheet laid out on the ground, there's little or no risk of harm coming to the house. All in all its a really great toy that is both huge fun to play with, even the adults in the house are fascinated by it, and educational too.

Disappointing
The tall beaker has a hole in the bottom so couldn’t hold any water. Went all over my table instead and my son was sad as he wanted to see the underwater volcano.
