Amazing Monitor to Help Ease Your Mind
I am a first time parent of our (now 2-month-old) baby. We wanted to have the baby from the start, be in her own room and in the crib. As such, up until recently we have been using a Vtech video monitor. Our baby though developed some gas issues and would spit up and fuss through the night. With the old monitor we were not able to tell if the baby was awake and actively spitting up or it was just normal spit up while sleeping. We would not know when to actually go to the baby vs let the baby sleep. Once we got the Miku, it was clear what was happening with our baby and when we needed to take action as it monitors vitals and sleeping without any additional attachments. The other options required strapping devices on our baby and we did not want to do that.Packaging, Setup and Access. When we got the Miku, it came and in very beautiful packaging and arrived quickly. They provided everything, the level, screwdriver, even a tape measure! Items were clearly marked and the set up was extremely easy. The device and the app instructions are easy to follow. Putting the Miku on the wall, registering, providing access and connecting to wifi took no more than 10 min. We just had to shut off and turn on the system once after set up for it to recognize our wifi. So if you are having trouble connecting to your home wifi, just turn the Miku on and off and it will find your wifi. You control access to the app and can at any time to check on our baby regardless of where you are via your phone. Whether you are in your house, working in the yard, at the office, or on vacation, you can see what’s going on. We have never had any connection issues. I also like the fact that, even when the app is running in the background, you can still have the audio playing through your phone speaker with no impact.Features:The Miku monitor has lots of great features including, very clear two way talk as well as the ability to take pictures with no delay, which I haven’t seen in most monitors. However, being able to see your baby is breathing “at a glance” makes this system amazing. I love knowing that I will be alerted IF anything happens during her sleep. The night vision and respiratory monitor helped us assure that she is sleeping safely. Another pro is the ability to review sleep analytics night after night. As we move to sleep training her, we can see this will be a great help. The monitor continuously updates the room's temperature and humidity, making sure she is sleeping comfortably. I also love the music option which has both lullaby’s as well as sounds preloaded. I can only imagine that this product will continue to improve on and add more music or build feature that allow you to load your own music to play. With this feature, there is no need for an additional sound machine and the quality fo the sound is really great. You have the option of having any of the sounds on for 15-30 min and then on repeat. I had it on the whole night. It was great.Being a first time parents comes with a lot of learning and adjustments, but the Miku has helped us so much and eased our minds. I’m looking forward to seeing what new and exciting features will continue to be added to this amazing monitor.

$400 paperweight. Do not buy if you use Android, no idea how it is on iOS, but buyer beware.
We have used several baby monitors - Cooncam, Nanit, Miku, Owlet. We used owlet to track our daughter's breathing during the night for peace of mind. Since she has now outgrown the foot monitor we were looking at a monitor that did breathing monitoring to retain that peace of mind.Upon finding Miku it looked great. Installation was almost identical to a Nanit cam, simple.Fast forward to actually using the camera. Nothing but issues that seem to stem from the Android app itself, not the camera. I do not know if it is better on iOS but the Android app is full of bugs:- The sound will turn off after about 3 minutes if you app is not open on the screen (screen timed out or turned off or if you are in another app, background noise does not stay working)- The camera has a built in LED light on it, very bright and interruptive to a baby sleeping. In the camera's settings in the app you can turn it off, great. Unfortunately EVERY time you launch the app, the LED light turns back on so you need to jump into the settings and quickly turn it back off, EVERY TIME.- The notifications are just about useless. We receive a notification about 10-15 minutes AFTER it happened (sound detected, baby awake, etc.)- The app logs you out almost everyday.. why?- *** WORST ONE ***: the app will close itself, randomly (even if your phone is plugged in). This happened numerous times through the night where the app just decided to close itself completely. When using this as a sound baby monitor to know if your baby has woken up in the middle of the night and have 0 audio because the app closed makes this camera completely unreliable and useless. All of these issues were reported to Miku who requested log after log, and went back and forth for about a month. They identified the issues and stated they would be addressed in a "future release" of the software. So until then we've been stuck with a non-functioning device. We will be going back to Nanit - the camera was identical in quality and the app had 0 issues while providing all of the same functions minus the breathing monitor.(Multiple phones - Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Oneplus 5, etc. all factory reset, fresh for testing, same occurrences)

Absolutely perfect baby monitor. None better than Miku!
After searching and reading through the multitude of reviews on forums, Amazon, and the likes, the Miku Smart Baby Monitor kept coming up when we were on our search for the best baby monitor. We decided to make the purchase after our first newborn came, and there's not a single regret. This baby monitor is absolutely amazing!First - the packaging: Pristine, with the aesthetics similar to opening up a brand new Apple product. The package includes EVERYTHING (which is not a lot) to get up and going. Also, a bonus - they include a small wooden pencil. I've never seen that before, and I thought it was cool. Again, you don't need ANYTHING else apart from what they included in the box to mount this. After the physical mounting of the baby monitor, the installation and the initial setup of the App was as straightforward as can be. ANYONE can set up and use this monitor and app, and that's what I love. Miku makes everything as simple, yet sophisticated, as can be.I'm not sure how it works, but the Miku accurately monitors your baby's breathing and sleeping habits. The app is sensitive to noise (not too sensitive), so you're notified when your baby is awake from his/her nap. HD quality is a bonus. We received a different baby monitor from our baby shower, and the Miku baby monitor stands far above it in comparison. My recommendation? Spend the money with Miku and make sure that your child is sleeping safe and well with no concern. We've had no issues thus far, and the sleek design will look good in any room. Five star purchase.
