It’s a regular leash clasp. Which for me have always been durable. No issues here.

Q: How does the leather hold up in wet conditions like rain and snow? I need something durable. Had a similar style with plastic that broke.

I have not had these leashes long, but I have plenty of experience with leather in wet weather. Just treat it liberally with a leather conditioner product like neats foot oil, and it should hold up well for a long time. Re-treat as needed.

Q: Is the collar portion adjustable to fit your dog? Looks like it could slip off the neck easily?

This is a leash , not a lead. It does not have collar/choke function as appose to a lead. The loop is a handle, not a collar. The clasp will hook to a separate collar. Thanks!
