Japanese Candy Sakuma Drops Reprint 6oz Model Grave of the Fireflies

When I ordered I didn't realize they were coming from Japan. I loved how the seller included a little piece of origami paper as a gift. <3They are hard candies in fruit flavors. Each flavor is very intense (not like bad strong, but clear) flavor. There's some sort of light flavorless powder coating, which I presume is to keep them from sticking to each other - and even with the long overseas shipping they were 100% in-tact and not gummed up!Now I need to figure a use for the tins onaccounta there're so dang cute!I bought the candies to eat while watching 'Grave of the Fireflies.' I couldn't wait for movie night to taste test them, and then couldn't stop. Definitely going to re-order!

These are hands down the best candies ove ever gotten. the connection to the Movie aside, they are flavorful and true to the fruit. Plus they don't have any of the nasty chemicals and dyes that candy have now. The confectionery uses natural ingredients to color the candies. I am planning on buying more of these. These are so good. All of the flavors, even the mint one is delicious, but I have to say my favorite is between the chocolate and lemon one. I was really skeptical about the chocolate one, but boy was I wrong. These all taste like how they are supposed to. Fruity, chocolatey and minty. I love the movie. If you haven't watched it, WATCH IT. It is called Grave of the Fireflies. One of the most amazing Ghibli movies ever made.

These arrived 2 weeks before the earliest estimate! Not only that but these taste great! I had no clue there were chocolate flavored ones, but it tastes just like a chocolate popsicle. I'm impressed and i think i might buy some more once i run out... Which might be soon with how tasty these are! For some reason i seem to be the only one who expected the tin to be sturdier. Also, be careful when opening the tin, because it's not easy to open. The tin looks just like it did in the movie though, and the candy is sooo good! Worth every penny!!!

I really enjoyed these candies. All of the flavors, with one exception, are delicious. I got these because they are in the film "Grave of the Fireflies" mostly for the tin to display among my anime collection. The tin arrived in perfect condition. I couldn't help but try them and was pleasantly surprised to find they are wonderful. The chocolate flavor is really good and I normally find chocolate flavored candy not to be a favorite. The one exception is the mint flavor. I usually like mint hard candy and gum but this particular mint is nothing short of vile. It tastes like a flavor used to cover up a horrible tasting medicine but you can still taste the medicine. Don't let the one bad flavor stop you though because all the rest are really, really good. I am buying a second tin now and will likely buy more.

The item is amazing! There is a small dent near the bottom, and there was some real craziness with delivery, but I really couldn’t be happier.

This fruit candies are super yummy and I think well worth the price for Grave of the Fireflies fans who also enjoy something sweet to enjoy! The chocolate and mint flavors are a bit odd, wasn't used to hardy candies to be in such flavors, but surprising they tasted amazing! Will be buying again next time I get some money in to do so. The only issue for me was the tin was a bit difficult to open but I just use a key or a coin or such to pull it up a little bit then enjoy! The tin is super sturdy too, i've stepped on it, lost it, and thrown it around (of course this was all accidental!) but the tin still has its shape and looks good!

If you’ve seen graveyard of the fireflies, than you know how sentimental this can of hard candies is. Not only is the candy tasty, the can they come in is a work of art with Setsuko front and center. When I die I want my ashes in this can.
