Hot Tools Professional 1175 High-heat 3-barrel Waver With Gold Barrels

I have asian straight-fine hair and it's hard to be curled. If I use a curling iron, my hair will be straight again in 1 hour. I search a lot and review every comment of all wave irons that Amazon has, and I finally decided for this one. This is my first wave iron. I tried on my hair once I got it and it is amazing. I did not use any product before I use it. I used it on my dry hair, and it creates soft-defined wave. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! and the good thing is, I can finish all in 20 mins (I have shoulder length hair) and it lasts all day. Cons: I need to use high heat to make it works. Low and medium heat are not enough to curl my hair. Also, I need to wait like 3-4 mins to let the iron to heat up to the optimum heat. Oh, another thing, it is easy to burn the skin since there is no plastic at the tip like flat or curl iron, so be careful! But overall, it is a great product for me. Reminder: if you have more coarse hair, it might not work becuase even I have fine hair, I need to use the max heat.

I'm not sure if its the barrel or if it was my plug. I think because it's a US plug, and I used a different voltage, it caused some issues even with the voltage converter. The barrel started smelling like something burnt and smoke started coming out of it. I shut it off before it exploded on me.

It's ok for what it is, I do think if you want extremely small crimpy hair then this is probably what you want.... I was more looking for a beachy loose wave or at least that perfect S curl. I have long hair so maybe this product is just not suited for long hair. I probably will not use it again but I can't blame Hot Tools (it's the only brand of curling iron I ever use) I am sure it does what it is supposed to I just personally had different expectations.

This item was not good! I burned my neck using it becuase in the picture I did not realize to clmap it down you have to open it. I never had a hair appliance that was backwards and so difficult to use. It is unfortunate becuase I was looking forward to using it :(

I bought this iron to wave my hair in Marcel waves like the flappers of the 20s. It didn't quite turn out that way, I looked more like a punk 80s rocker chick. It was still cute, but not quite what I was going for, personally. If you are going for volume and controlled waves, this is an incredible iron. I used it on my stepdaughter's stringy blonde hair and it looked absolutely beautiful! Full and shiny and full of volume with a wave. She even had waves in her hair the next day, and we did not use any hair product. I was impressed. The only drawback is that the handle is somewhat difficult to use without burning a hole in your arm (which I experienced). I would recommend this, as long as you aren't a clutz.

Wow. This exceeded my expectations. The first time I ever used one of these was in middle school and I have never seen one since. I came across it on Amazon and I wondered if maybe that hair style had gone out of style but I bought it anyway and I LOVE it. The amount of volume this gives to your hair is incredible. What an awesome tool. It does take a considerable amount of time to do but it is worth it in the end. It looks very natural as well which is really nice. The product itself is made from high quality materials. I had never used this brand before but I really like it. The on and off switch just slides and has stayed put so far. There are different settings for different hair types which are listed in the handbook that comes with the product. I use it on a low to medium setting because I have fine hair and it worked perfectly. 10/10. I have had zero issues with this every time that I have used it.

Couldn't wait to get this after seeing the commercials for it, what a let down and waste of good money!!! It did not do a thing to my hair but frizz it more!!You would be better off going and getting the vintage crimping iron, those work!! this does not.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.PRODUCT IS USELESS.

This is a great product. I asked around before I purchased my first triple barrel and I have been very happy with my choice. Others have said that similar products that are cheaper don't work as well. You don't get as much of a wave. Some of my recommendations: Don't wash your hair that morning. It works and holds better on day old hair. Especially if there is still hairspray left in your hair. Also, to get a perfect wave, start at the top of the hair strand and clamp it. Then, for the next clamp, flip the barrel upside down so it stays in order. Hope this helps! I always get so many compliments when I wear my hair this way. ;)
