Style: Feeder • Easy-fill basket, holds one cake • Sized to fit Audubon Park Seed Cakes (fits cakes up to 7.5" x 6.5" x 2") • Feeding instructions: unwrap seed cake and place in basket feeder • If possible place near shrubs or trees that offer protection while feeding (birds and wildlife are more likely to visit feeders where they are less vulnerable)

Q: Will this help deter the woodpeckers from ruining my maple tree??

Your woodpeckers are not likely destroying your trees. BUT the bugs they are eating probably are! So the woodpeckers are your friends. Where you see damage is where they are finding the insects. These blocks will help draw them to your yard to help you.

Q: Has anyone figured out how to cut this to fit? I sure would like to get this to fit in my feeder cage.

Don’t wet it! I use a small, sturdy serrated kitchen knife on a cutting board. Drive it through vertically to make the size you need, then pry the pieces off as needed. I fit as many as I can into the small suet cages, squeeze them shut, and use a big S hook to hang them. My birds all like these blocks!
