I never really paid much attention to this brand of fertilizer until after I started watching Garden Answer's YouTube videos. I was super impressed by Laura's flowers and results that I had to try this stuff and boy was I glad I did! Last summer, I used this with all flowers, vegetables, trees, and shrubs I planted and was blow away by the results! I have used MiracleGro and Osmocote fertilizers in the past, but wanted to find something organic for use in my gardens so I didn't have to worry about harsh chemicals. I was absolutely blown away at the abundant yields and healthy vigor of my plants this past year after using Bio-Tone. The root promotion and development of my plants was unlike anything I have ever seen with other products.I will admit, I was a little hesitant initially at trying this product, especially given that it is considerably more expensive than some of the other "big-names" in fertilizers. I was also a little surprised at the "smell" at first as others have commented on. However, after using it I can now see why so many gardeners recommend this product and I don't mind the smell anymore when using it. The results you see are more than worth the money spent! I will only be using Espoma organic products from here on out! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great itemIt works every time I use it every year

If you have to transplant anything in your garden, then this product is for you. Last spring we transplanted in the front of our house with 100's of potted plants. Using this product we lost ZERO plants. This starter smells a little like chicken manure but it doesn't burn. It does however work. All our plants are growing well and flowering as we wanted. Couldn't be happier!

Great. Have been watching lots of YouTube gardening videos and many are using this for new in ground plantings. Planted about 15 new plants. All doing well.

Laura from Garden Answer introduced me to the product; she doesn't rave about it, she just goes about using it matter of factly. Doing so made me realize she was confident in the product, it would help to produce the plants (size, health) she expected. Thus I picked some Espoma BioStart in little bags. It has provided such great results -- the plants, the seedlings are the proof ... that I now have to buy it in 25# bags. Can't find it in such sizes locally -- they want to sell me dinky 4# bags, of which me and my potting shed laugh uproariously. Used BulbTone when planting last fall -- about 300 bulbs, then used to fertilize those already in the ground. Noticeable difference, the older bulbs performed like they hadn't in years. On the lookout for PlantTone by Espoma, none found locally. I guess i'll order online. Come on Espoma ... help the Meem out; i must garden!The daughter uses the product too, she can't stand the smell. I think it's just fine, tells me it's all natural. It's a good thing.Try it, you'll notice a difference.

This is the only starter fertilizer that I will use. It stabilizes the plant growth right from the beginning.

If you're a gardener you will love this starter fertilizer. Promotes strong root growth for newly planted trees, shrubs, and perennial plants. It is all organic. The only down side is it is a bit stinky and dogs love the smell and taste of it, but it is harmless. I called their company directly because my dog took a mouthful. Someone from the company called me back immediately and assured me there was nothing harmful to dogs in mix and she was fine. Aside from that it was my first time using it this year and my newly planted container plants, trees, and perennials are looking AMAZING! I will continue to use this product for new plantings.
