We woke up one morning to discover someone had attempted to cut off one of the bike locks overnight. They made it thru the outer shell and managed to break a few inside wires, but there was still a solid amount of wire left that they were not able to break thru. We were quite impressed with how well the lock worked! But, with that being said, I think it’s a great buy. I live in a nice area and hope that a simple deterrent system will be enough.While I love the color options, I went with the black/grey. I just think it makes it look like a higher quality lock as opposed to a bright, fancy color. Believe me...I wanted pink. 😉I haven’t tried the mount. I think it would be in the way of the step-through. I have a rear bag I store it in, but will mount it if/when needed.It’s easy to use and I wanted a 5-numeral code so when my friends visit and use the bike I can just change it to something they’ll remember: their ZIP code!Should I find that it’s quality and security don’t lead up to my expectations, I will definitely update my review.
