Future Engineer (Future Baby Boardbooks)

I purchased this book for my granddaughter who was under 2 years at the time. She looks at it alot and enjoys the illustrations as well as the text when it's read to her.It's an enjoyable read for the parent to as you can add so much information based on both the words and pictures as well as recreating some of the pictures with yourholds own toys.I liked the double page spread that shows what an engineer does as it was simple and easy for an adult to explain.I will buy the Future Astronaut book too as these are great ways to bring career ideas to the young in a fun fashion.The drawing also had good cultural representation which is good.

{My thoughts} – Engineers and Baby’s have a lot in common. Engineers like to solve problems and figure out how things work. Baby’s like to do that too, just not in the same way. You never know what exploring a baby does could turn into a future engineer.This book is nicely colored and eye appealing for children. It it simply written and easy for young ones to understand. I really enjoy reading through these types of books. They help to show children that they can be anything should they choose to. Which I think is really neat, I think it’s important to show children at a young age that they have options and potential and that anything is possible. It also helps to aid in building their imaginations!

My baby absolutely loves all of these books! So cute, with beautiful art and a fun story. I'm hoping the author comes out with more "Future ____ " books to add to the series.

I gave this book to a co-worker. H e said his two young daughters (ages 4.5 and 3) loved it. They now want to be scientists and engineers. I expect his 1.5 year old son and soon to be born fourth child will enjoy it too.
