The scent was a blend of roasted nuts, caramel, and a hint of sweetness, promising a delightful brewing experience. The beans were visibly fresh and roasted to perfection, indicative of Lavazza’s commitment to quality.Flavor Profile: The flavor profile of Lavazza Super Crema is complex and well-balanced. From the first sip, I noticed a smooth, creamy texture with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The coffee has rich notes of honey, almonds, and dried fruit, complemented by undertones of dark chocolate and caramel. This delightful combination makes for a very satisfying and nuanced cup of coffee, whether enjoyed black or with milk.Roast Level: Lavazza Super Crema is a medium roast, which I found to be ideal for bringing out the beans’ natural flavors without any overwhelming bitterness. Top-Notch Taste, Great Value, Daily with My Breville
I’ve been using Lavazza Super Crema Whole Bean Coffee every single day in my Breville espresso machine, and it's quickly become my go-to. The taste is absolutely top notch - smooth, rich, and balanced, with delightful notes of hazelnut, brown sugar, and a creamy finish. People always compliment how my espresso turns out, and I can’t blame them.. it’s that good :). Then there's the price - for the volume of high-quality beans you get, the value is insane. It feels like a steal!

A Richer Roast That Earns Its Price Tag
This one’s the fancier cousin in my coffee rotation—a little pricier, a little bolder, and just refined enough to make me feel like I know what I’m doing with my espresso machine.Lavazza Super Crema has that classic Italian flair. Think: brown sugar, roasted hazelnuts, a thick crema that looks like it was frothed by angels. I first picked it up over a decade ago when I was looking for a good subscribe-and-save option for my Thermador espresso machine. Having experienced Lavazza while traveling in Italy, I figured I'd trust what the Italians trust.I’ve experimented with others—Starbucks, Kirkland, Peet's, Kicking Horse—but none have matched the blend of taste and machine-compatibility. Super Crema hits a sweet spot: flavorful enough to notice, smooth enough to sip daily, and dry enough to not jam up the grinder (a surprisingly rare combo, trust me).It is a touch more expensive than Lavazza's medium roast, and yes, I can tell the difference. The flavor is a bit deeper and the crema more pronounced. But if you're trying to split hairs (or beans), the medium roast is almost as good and even less likely to clog. Still, when I want to treat myself—or impress a guest—I reach for Super Crema. In short: this is the one I use when I want to pretend my Thermador machine cost me a plane ticket to Rome. And sometimes, it really does taste like it did.
