I have tried many other brands, including the very expensive brands, and I've never been satisified, until I tried Piecemaker's.Recently, I ran out of my Piecemaker needles and needed to meet a deadline to finish a Christmas gift. Out of desperation I had to use another brand that had been given to me by a friend. She had promised that the new needles were "the best to be found" and I would "love them". So I opened the package and threaded the fancy designer needle with high hopes! (After all, I NEEDED to finish my granddaughter's gift!) After about 3 stitches the "other needle" was bent and I was not able to continue working on my project.Since I live a considerable distance from a quilting supply store I logged on to Amazon.com to order some needles, and my new Piecemaker needles were delivered in just a few days.Piecemakers are very durable and the only brand I have used, with success, for the past 17 years!I'm happy to report that my granddaughter's Christmas gift was completed on time and she loved it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My new favorite needles for hand quilting *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2019* I have tried a lot of brands and sizes and these are my favorites. They are short and thin enough to make it easier to hand quilt through thick seams but I have not bent one yet. They are a little hard to thread since the eye is very small, but I am able to thread them with my Bohin desktop needle threader.Edited: I just tried threading them with my Clover desk needle threader and that works better than the Bohin. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2014* Many moons ago I was having fits with needles breaking while I was quilting, so I tried Piecemakers and the problem was solved. I quilt through a relatively thin cotton batting (Quilters' Dream I think its called, and it IS a dream), so I'm not doing any heavy duty stuff, But breaking needles just doesn't cut it, and since I've been quilting with Piecemakers (years and years) I haven't had one broken needle. They are shorter than other 12s, I think.
