They cook up larger and softer than pinto beans, and also taste a little milder. I add garlic powder, onion powder, cumin and salt while cooking and they end up very flavorful. I haven't been able to find these Peruvians in the store recently so I bought them here on Amazon. They're a little pricey but, actually, the cheapest here on Amazon right now, especially if you buy the 6pk of 2lb packages. El Mexicano sells the cleanest beans I've ever purchased, and that goes for these Peruvians, their pintos and lentils. They're so easy to sort through, I have yet to find debris/stones in them :) The seller (the manufacturer - Marquez Bros Int'l) did a great job of getting them to me quickly, I purchased them on 4/10/20 and received them today 4/13/20.
