Alexander McQueen: The Life and Legacy

I'm loving the book, with its details about McQueen and tons of photos. The seller shipped it swiftly, too.

I just received the book a little over an hour ago, but after only reading the intro I can tell this will be one of the better books on McQueen. I have every book on McQueen published except for "LOVE LOOKS NOT WITH THE EYES" (only 6 available) This is a book that is insightful and has character, and provides great background detail into Lee and his psyche that other books may mention but skim over and focus on photos of his work. I look forward to the read, I recommend this book to anyone looking for details on the man and not just his work.

Fascinating inside look at the fashion designers young life, influences and start on Saville Row.A lot is not revealed about his personal life actually, but you get a good feel for how much he was influenced by art and world culture.Each collection is discussed in detail, but really could use more illustrations.A fast read and good companion to a bigger picture centric book.

I bought this last month because I'm very interested in learning about designers. I highly recommend this book, this book walks you through his life and all the work he has done collection by collection.From 1990-2010. I've definitely learned a lot about him and others as well. I really like how they added photos of his collections and what his close friends had to say about what was going on at the time and what Alexander McQueen was thinking as well. Overall very great book and great content. Must buy!

It's my first Alexander McQueen book. And it's perfect because I am not looking for collections or his designs, but I am looking for a designers life. How he got started, what kept him going, and what his ideas were like. And this book doesn't go into extreme detail but it covers just what I need and it's a beautiful tribute to a beautiful man.

Purchased this book for my GF and she absolutely loves it! She loves the stories that people tell about Alexander and it gives a unique perspective on the type of person he was and they types of relationships he had with people. Deffinately recommend to anyone looking at getting a McQueen book!

We were lucky enough to see the comprehensive show at the Met in NYC last year. Didn't buy the book they offered there and kind of regretted. Glad I found this one! Plates are beautiful, and nice amount of text to put pictures in perspective. Highly recommend!

Arrived in brilliant condition for a used book, better than I expected. Content is fabulous, but then as a fan, frankly any book on Alexander McQueen excites me.! Judith watts writes beautifully and concisely.

This book is highly recommended for anyone with an interest n the work of the late Alexander McQueen and modern British fashion designers. McQueen left an amazing legacy and this book provides a remarkable insight into his life and times.

Excellent book. Although this book is EXACTLY the same as her other book titled Alexander McQueen Fashion Visionary, just a different cover and title. I obviously bought both not realising.

Lee McQueen is certainly one of the fashion-world's most interesting persons; this book is the most complete work about him, and ideal for admirers & fashionistas.

Bought as a present for my son's partner. Not my thing, but she was delighted with it.
