Just put these Magura MT5e brakes onto this frame. Using the cutting tool was great. The hose slots right in and a precision knife blade cuts the hose very clean and straight.The tool itself feels good in the hand and cuts with just a bit of pressure. You can get a crooked cut if you don't make sure to hold the line straight in the cutting slot. Just make sure you can get a good perpendicular grip. I suggest not cutting the hose on the bike but, if you must, then use caution.Overall great product.

It's nice to have the right tool for the job. My first foray into shortening hydraulic brake lines didn't go smoothly. Long story short, I pinched the needle part, couldn't bleed, forced air through and blew out seals. Yep....it was a brand new Magura MT7, $150 down the drain.So after throwing a tantrum and going through a severe bout of depression, the dust cleared and I decided to pick up the pieces and chalk it up to learning by experience.. For round 2, I decided to give myself the right tools, so I bought this and the Jagwire needle driver 2.0.It makes perfect cuts. And it feels pretty solid in the hands. I've now shortened a few brakes and it's actually very easy when you have the right tools. If you are new to hydro brakes, I recommend buying this, the needle driver 2.0, and a pro bleed kit.

I wanted to love this, but it simply would not completely cut through some of then stronger hydraulic brake cables. I switched to new blades and every time there was the end that was not completely cut through that I had to take a razer blade to finish cutting.

Works as promised. Perfect easy cut. Worth the price.

Smooth 90 degree cuts. If this lasts for any significant period of time, it is a winner.

Sono alla mia terza bici assemblata: diffidate da chi vi dice che un buon taglierino è sufficiente. Questo attrezzo è ben pensato e ben costruito: l'ho usato diverse volte e permette di svolgere il lavoro in modo semplice, pulito e in totale sicurezza. La lama è intercambiabile ed il corpo è realizzato in metallo, quindi pesante e la sensazione è di tenere fra le mani uno strumento serio e non un 'giocattolo'. Lo consgilio a chi vuole cimentarsi nella sostituzione delle tubazioni freno o assemblare una nuova bici. Il compagno fondamentale è il needle insertion tool (sempre di jagwire). Lavorare in sicurezza e con gli attrezzi adatti non ha prezzo.

Utilizzato per tagliare le guaine dei freni sulla mia MTB con ottimi risultati. I tagli sono veloci, netti e regolari. Consigliato.

シマノ製が間違いないのでしょうけれど値段がチョット高い、けちって名の知れたjag製にしました。製品自体には全く問題ないです。ただ私が油断していたのですが、布団の上であぐらかいて開封、なかにスペアの刃が入っているのに気づかず股の中に落下、軽く体に刺さりました(T . T)。せめて厚紙か何かに貼って入れてもらえないでしょうかね。
