Broilmaster DPP101 Replacement Burner for Use with D3/P3 Series Grills

Came quickly. Easy to install. So far it works great with great distribution of the gas flame. I wish I replaced the old one sooner. We really suffered with that old burner. It’s stainless steel, but not not super solid or heavy so I’m guessing we’ll need another replacement in less than 5 years.

Arrived on time, great packaging, perfect condition. Installed in a few minutes and used it that night. My wife was very happy with the results of her grilled chicken afterwards. Big win for me....

My 22 year old grill needed a burner, again. The original lasted about 12 years, and the replacement another 10. Was not happy about the reviews saying it was smaller, but could not find an exact replacement for the original. Bought this one. Fitted my pipes exactly, but certainly a few inches narrower. Using it, it obviously does not allow the same amount of gas to be burned, and takes quite a bit longer to get the coals hot, and cook my meal. But, with that in mind, it does work. Not Happy with Char Broil. Bad business decision.

Replacement for old burner

Yes, this replacement burner is smaller than the original one it replaced. And I'm not convinced it puts out the same amount of heat as the original burner. But it does seem adequate in my case. At this point, I've used it 3 times. I'm still learning where the hotspots. But the results have been pretty decent. Granted, the old burner was such a nightmare, anything would've been an improvement. But the bottom line is: this thing works - we again have a functional grill.

I have a P3 series grill and while the replacement burner was the exact same size as the original, the tubes leading from the gas orifices to the burner were much shorter. Luckily I was able to reuse the orifice tubes from my old burner. Other than that, a perfect replacement!

This burner unit was put into a P3 grill from 2004. This is the first replacement I have needed so I hope this one lasts as long! Yes the unit is smaller than the original but I think I like having a little more "holding area" on the sides when cooking for a crowd. This obviously gets a lot hotter than the falling apart burner that lasted 15 years.

Burner was purchased as it stated it was 21 inches the same as the original. The burner delivered was 17 inches. I would return it but i can't be bothered with the hassle. Pretty poor, misrepresenting.
