I've tried several diffusers for my flash, and this one (along with the new collapsible one) by far produces the best results. The diffuser produces the closest thing to a studio strobe softbox out of any products I have seen EXCEPT the actual flash softbox; but the flash softbox is large, bulky and very annoying to use.However, the dome accessories for this product, including the Chrome Dome and the Amber Dome make this by far the best, even over the flash softbox. These domes give the user the ability to alter the diffuser's lighting characteristics in seconds, and effortlessly. The dome accessories can be a bit pricey, particularly the Chrome Dome, but they are worth it for their convenience of use and the quality of light output.

I first was very hesitant to buy the system, because of many tries before and none of them successful, but I have to confess that this diffuser is really good!!!!. My first shots were a disaster, but after using it with different settings the pictures begin to improve up to the point that my portable softbox felt jealous. Well obviously the quality of a larger source is not comparable, but I think for the size it is the best diffuser Ive owned. Now I feel very confident that pictures are going to be very good. Indoor photography at first was very cold, but I set my temperature setting up to 7000 and the pictures were amazing!!!. On outdoor photography also is very good. My suggest is to buy it, 49 dlls is not a great deal, and if you work a little bit on your camera settings you'll get amazing results.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the Lightsphere. I borrowed one from a friend to try out before coming back to Amazon to purchase it for myself. I tried the LS in several settings and used undiffused bounced flash, straight front flash, and then flash with the LS pointed at the ceiling. The test using the LS produced far better results.I got the LS because bouncing flash from the ceiling doesn't work in all situations. Sometimes bounced light makes the top half of the subject illuminated much more than the bottom half. The LS helps counteract that and scatters the light much more evenly. I also often photograph with flash in a gym with high ceilings as well as a room with a black ceiling...in those cases, bouncing my flash from the ceiling doesn't work. The LS definitely helps in those situations. I also wanted something I could use for group portraits when photographing weddings in a dimly lit sanctuary, and I believe this will help tremendously.I have had no problems with it attaching firmly to my Canon 580EX II or 430EX II. It stays on both without slipping. It does look a little ridiculous, but people care more about the results than the look of the equipment. It is bulky to carry in a bag but still much less cumbersome than carrying light stands and umbrellas around. It may take a little playing with to learn how to use, but overall it is a good product and I believe it's worth the price.

This product is fairly simple in it's design but does wonders when used in your photography. Creativity helps but this product enhances it. I was very excited to use this diffuser. I saw the photographers at World of Coke in Atlanta using them. This is how I discovered it. They were nice enough to let me look at it and where they found it. One guy was willing to let me take a few shots with it on my camera. I was sold.It came nicely packaged and on time (early actually by 1 day) very happy about that. It comes with a strap already on it. Also you get a black rubber band. This is used to wrap around your speedlight to prevent it from sliding off. Gives it something to grip. It is a huge diffuser and it's almost comedic looking but it gets the job done and done right.I did notice some color variation but you can correct it by adjusting your white balance and post production editing. Once you get a feel for how it will react to your camera and speedlight settings you make, it's pretty easy. I like how it evenly distributes the light and gives you nice soft edges on your shadows you get from it. I actually bought two of them and my other friends are begging me to tell them where I got it haha. Awesome product.

Love love love this. It spreads light well. I used it at a Wedding I shot and was very happy with results. I paired it with a cannon flash and people kept asking me what the heck it was and how it worked.If you are looking for a reasonably priced light accessory for diffusion, this is something I would recommend for any photo friends.

One of the most difficult things in photography is lighting. For the average photographer, using a flash to obtain professional looking results can be a very frustrating experience. For the average photographer with a DSLR or any camera with a hot shoe and a tilt flash, this is your answer.Just received mine and immediately tried it out on my D5100 with the Nikon 10-24. I am a semi pro shooting residential vacation rental property for an internet rental site. The jobs are shot in less then 1 hour and I do not have time to set up even minimal pro lighting. I generally work with natural light, which has it's limitations for late in the day shooting of interiors. This is an answer to a pray shooting very nice even lighting throughout large and small rooms (as well as my usual models, the dogs). I used it on an SB700 with excellent results.Make sure you secure the device tightly on the head of the flash. I also tapped down the top dome to keep it from flopping around. I had read several reviews of this device by wedding photographers and they swear by it. I can tell you that this device could never fully replace well placed pro lighting for interior shots, but in a pinch, it is definitely the next best thing.

Que se soit en intérieur comme en extérieur, ce diffuseur est très utile. Il permet d'éviter le flash direct et donc d'avoir soit de l'ombre non voulue ou de surexposer le sujet prit en photo.C'est vrai que lors de l'utilisation, les gens demandent ce que c'est. Vous passez plus de temps à leur expliquer que de prendre des photos !Seul inconvénient c'est qu'il prend de la place.
