Fantastic item
This is a great product, it looks great and has held up in some really nasty conditions. There are just two things I've noticed which you might want to watch out for - first, the part of it which holds the watch face on is a little awkwardly designed. The leather 'loops' through which you put the bars on either side of the watchface are really thick, so make sure that the watch face you want to use leaves a good amount of room between the bars and the face edge. Second, the leather did bleed a little bit once when it got wet. However, that was after about five hours of being completely soaked in a downpour at an outdoor concert, and my friend's SHOES were actually bleeding dye as well, so I don't think that will be a frequent problem. Just don't go swimming with it and you'll probably be fine.

Updated: Just OK.
I'll start by saying this watch band seemed the best out of all I looked at. My last band was a black leather Fossil one. I couldn't find it again on the Fossil website, so their loss is Bulldog Leather Works gain.Pros:- Looks really bad (as in 1984 Orwellian doublespeak)!- Seems sturdy and well put together.- Did I mention how bada** it looks?Cons:- I was not mislead by the seller but would have preferred a stiffer leather like my former watch band. No big deal; it may even prove more comfortable this way.- I would rather the buckles for the straps curve the opposite way, towards my wrist. Instead they curve "up" away from the wrist and stick out slightly. This is the only real complaint I have about the band. I could have sent it back but decided I liked it regardless.- Because wrists taper toward the hand, it might have been a good idea to taper the band and punch holes closer in on the strap next to the hand. I would have liked it to look wider the farther it went up my arm.I really like this watch band. I kept it, after all. The Cons (except for the second) are little, nit-picky details. I've only had the thing for a few hours so I can't attest to durability but I think I will be able to enjoy it for quite a while.UPDATED APRIL 2012:I know this review is old but I was looking for a new watch band and took a look at my old review. Unfortunately, I didn't even wear this watch for a year. The screws got pretty rusted in the first couple of months. I tended to take the watch off at night so it was simply from normal wear. The leather being kind of soft just meant it stretched pretty easily so it made the fit kind of tough. I really liked the way it looked and wanted it to be the watch band I was looking for. It just didn't hold up. Pictures for the watch look like it's been updated a bit. The buckles look more comfortable.

As long as they keep making it, I'll keep buying it!
My dad used to have a watch band like this one, and I've wanted one of my own since I was a kid. This is my second watchband I've bought from Bulldog Leather Works. Not because there were any issues with it, but because I wore the first one for a few years until it fell apart from regular wear and tear. I tend to put my watch bands through the wringer, and the first one I got more than held up. I get so many great complements from men and women about my watch. A lot of guys don't expect to see a female wearing a band like this, but I'm not your average female. :)Edit 12/11/2018: I just now purchased my fourth watch band from Bulldog Leather Works, and I can't wait for it to get here. I purchased my first one in 2011, and each watch band has lasted me about 2 years. As I said before, it's very sturdy, I wear it ALL THE TIME, and I get a ton of compliments on it. Any time someone asks where I got it, I always direct them to Bulldog Leather Works. Thanks for a great product!

It's made better than the 2" Hemmingway...
This one is made with better leather than the 2" Hemmingway, however the screw rivets rust when you sweat, (I must have overly sweaty wrists). The look is hot and masculine so what more can you expect. The worst part was that I wasn't smart enough to check the watch I was going to use it with (it didn't fit the one inch binders) oh well, it gave me a reason to buy a new watch to match the band.Pete ZSan Diego, CA

Better than most.
I really like leather wrist bands. This one here has by far been my favorite. I own 2 of them now. After a year of having my first one I like how it began to have an aged look. I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars because the screws that they use with it rust very quickly when in contact with sweat and will stain the skin. I like the band too much to let that bother me. The fix is don't wear it so tight. Wear it loose enough that you can rotate it on your wrist 360 without difficulty.

Loving it
Customer service gets a 5/5 because they resized it on the fly and I only got it a day later than would have been if I'd gotten the "out of the box" version. The band itself was easy to attach my watch to and it looks awesome. 5/5Unfortunately after only a couple weeks of wearing it I've lost a grommet and screw from the top side of the leather band which holds the watch face. I'm going to email the company and ask if they can send me replacements as I love it and think it might have just been a faulty screw or something. I dropped it one star since I couldnt do half of one, and I'll raise it up if I can get a replacement to repair it myself.Update:They sent me replacements :)Overall, I'm extremely pleased with it, though as I expected, reactions from friends and family when I wear it are mixed :)It's definitely a conversation piece.

Mediocre customer service
I ordered this band instead of others because some of the reviews here stated the company was willing to customize the item and was helpful to them. That is not the case. The company did return emails but did not offer to help with customizing. The quality is good and I do like the item but I had to pay an extra $10 at a local shop before I could wear it.
