Great durability and look
The sword is in reality a Hero's Edge product. It is very durable and stands up to heavy blows, and is also very realistic looking. The foam is dense and the core can take a lot of shock from blows. It will hurt if you hit someone hard, and whether it can pass a LARP test is still a question.Like most LARP weapons, it is imbalanced, as the balance point tips towards the middle of the sword. Due to this, the sword may feel a little hefty and is not very suitable for more agile fighting styles. The paint may wear out a little from use, but it does not tarnish the sword's appearance much unless you "burn" it (drag against drywall or similar friction surfaces). As long as you aren't hitting any walls though, this shouldn't be of any concern. The package says the sword takes up to 80 pounds of pressure, but I have not measured this at any extent. It will dent if you swing hard, but not much against other foam. You won't break it unless you try REALLY hard.In general, for anything from practice fights, swinging around, cosplay, or just hanging up on the wall for display, this sword is perfect value for its price.

Great value
For the money this thing is outstanding. First the cons. Only two minor problems. First on arrival the cross guard was deformed. A couple minutes with a heat gun and i was able to straighten it out. So not a big deal and likely from shipping in the Florida heat. The minor issue is some discoloration. After heavy sparring against another foam sword i have black marks all over both blades. Not sure why. That's it's for the cons. The pros are far more substantial. This sword easily compares in quality to several i have purchased from larp stores for 100+ dollars. So the value is tremendous. The quality is very nice as well. After multiple rounds of heavy sparring it has no damage other than the discoloration which isn't that bad. The workmanship is plain nothing elaborate but good. It looks like a sword. The feel is decent it is balanced fairly realistically. It is a long one handed sword so the feel can be a little tricky. Overall if you're looking for a decent larp sword this is an amazing value. If you're looking for an awesome toy for your kid this will also be an excellent choice.

Hefty blade
The paint is somewhat cheap, but it's otherwise a solid starter LARP sword. The blade is thick, which gives it a realistic weight, but this is not offset by the handle, which has no kind of nonslip texture.

WHOA
I am not a "LARPer" and not into cosplay or anything, but d***m when I opened this, I instantly became one, went around my house pretending I was in a movie. Total dorkfest. But guess what? The only thing that matters is I will use it for my costume. Plus, I know a lot of these reviews are about rating it on "LARPing" but for me I think it is great and will go perfectly with what I had in mind with my outfit. Also, I had to do a lot of research that is wasn't a copy of some pop culture or movie thing, from the research I did, it is not, but if it is, I will look like more of a dork. All jokes aside, it is awesome! Long and heavy! I am 5' 11'' female and it is still pretty big. So, I think this will work perfect for my costume, also I got one of those holder thingies to fit it, and it works great.

Wobblily yet usable
Got a few good fights in with it before the cross guard broke. Just superglued it back together and waiting to use it again. It works yet its a bit wobblily compared to the other products they have. I recommend it for beginners and people who wont hit as hard as we do :)

Good costume piece; terrible LARP weapon
I bought this as a costume/decorative piece, and in that regard it looks good for the price. However, most LARPS won't accept this as a combat weapon. The foam is way too stiff, making for unsafe impact, and the core is so weak that you get lots of whip/wobble with your swings.

Great for a Costume Prop.
It came exactly as described. The crossguard and pommel is not plastic like I was expecting, it’s all foam. The sturdy foam is just painted. The crossguard is quite flexible. The length is much longer than a typical “arming sword” or one-handed sword. I would have preferred the total length to be closer to 35inches instead of the 41 inches. The weight distribution is understandably NOT balanced well; it’s all foam. For the money and looks, I think it can be enjoyed as a great costume prop or a super safe display piece. The paint job is excellent and makes it look like the real thing from afar.Nevertheless I am returning it and going to get a long sword or two-handed sword that’s the same length as this one.
